We went looking for a vehicle on a Sunday afternoon…best days to look because nobody is open in MD on Sunday. We had checked the web for a F 450 and these guys had about 4-5 that were close to what we wanted. Thought the lot was blocked off and fares were closed, we were still able to wander and look at the various vehicles available. We identified two that made sense and one (the one we bought) my wife scanned the QR code on the truck and sent an inquiry. We were surprised to get an immediate response and promise we would be contacted in the morning when they were open. As promised, at 8:30 the next morning, we got a text offering more info and a couple time slots to make an appointment for a test drive. By 11:30 I was at the dealership on a test drive with Jeff. Jeff was helpful and informative but in no way salesy. He pointed out the features and functions of the vehicle as we drove. He offered a longer test drive but it wasn’t needed. When we got back, we were walking around the truck and just talking like old friends. He pointed out a couple other vehicles and did his best to answer any questions I had. We walked and talked and all of the sudden I was back in the showroom. He ran a couple numbers and scenarios for my trade in; and to be honest they were very generous from the outset. This was really impressive because I didn’t have the trade with me when I came up to drive their vehicle. I should have mentioned I met the sales manager Athina, when I first arrived for the test drive, and she was beyond cordial and friendly when we first met. She told me about the history of ownership for the truck I was there to drive and assured me they would do all they could for us to make a deal. After the test drive and seeing a few numbers I was ready to go. Nothing was wrong but I had to get back to work and I still needed to bring my actual trade in to the dealership for them to see. Jeff asked me to wait a second and I knew what was coming…the hard close by the sales manager. It’s classic car sales experience…and it never happened! Athina came out, thanked me for visiting and driving their rig and asked if there was anything else I needed to make a decision. In addition to Jeff’s card, she gave me her card and said to text her if I had questions or needed any more info to make a decision. I was genuinely thanked and appreciated for taking the time to come in and they let me go. It’s like I had been hanging with two old friends and we’d had a fun lunch together and it was time to briefly part. This was NOTHING like any car purchase experience I had ever had! Later in the day I traded texts with Jeff as well as Athina…some of it vehicle related and some just chit chat like you’d do with a new friend. By the mid afternoon I had enough info and made the decision to buy. Arrangements were made for delivery the following evening. During the entire three days of communication (Sun-Tue) commitments were made and kept. Negotiations were done via text and calls. Accepting the offer was done via text. Communication the entire time was open, friendly and genuine. Delivery was done in under an hour because we had done so much ahead of time electronically. I had already sent my insurance info in, pictures of my trade in, pictures of title and lien release info. Proof of funding and loan approval…all sent in electronically via email or text. At delivery, Jeff helped me move my 5th wheel hitch from old truck to new. He transferred my plates and loaned me tools to remove some accessories from old vehicle to new as well. Finance guy was fantastic and still not pushy. Helped me chose the right options for extended care and literally found me the best possible deal for me…not the dealership. We chatted about almost everything but car stuff but for sure covered the important stuff too. Seriously this whole team and experience was just great! Go work with Jeff and Athina at Al Packer Ford. They will treat you like a friend from the get go and you will leave feeling like you now have new extended family.
Such an awesome car buying experience. I found this beautiful new Mach E GT online, with a special price almost 10k below MSRP. I live about 250 miles away, so I needed to do everything online. I emailed the dealership and almost immediately received a response. One phone call and a few text messages later, Steve prepared a proposal. Monday morning Daniel had the contracts emailed and ready for me to sign. When I came to pick it up, I just needed to sign a few papers and was ready to go. They were also right on top of the registration (I'm in Connecticut). The plates came in a week. I can highly recommend this dealership. Thanks again :)
This was the best experience i have had with a dealership, by far! Nate Burgess was very personable and was available for all my questions. I knew i was going to be a tough sale but Nate went to bat for me. As negotiations went back and forth, their Sales Manager Athina Batis, sat down with me and we were able to work out a deal. Athina was a pleasure to speak with and we had a great conversation about the industry and why things are the way they are. I am looking forward to going back and seeing everyone again when i get my accessories installed, as well as my regular oil changes and check ups. Thanks everyone for a pleasant experience! -Frank
