Final Update: On Friday I was told that they had a loaner and we scheduled a deop off time of this morning. Service department was great about documenting my issues with the vehicle and the loaner car was ready in about 15 minutes after I gave them all the information they needed. They definitely earned back my respect and now we wait to see what needs to be fixed. ~~~ Update: After my initial review, Tim personally called me to clarify that a scheduled time is not just a drop-off appointment. I appreciate him taking the time to explain that and clear up the misunderstanding. He offered several remedies, and ultimately offered a loaner car when one becomes available. I’ll be taking my vehicle back so they can properly look at it and determine how to fix the issue. For now, I’ve updated my review from 1 star to 3 stars based on how they’ve handled the situation so far. I’m pleased with their responsiveness and willingness to make it right, and I’m hopeful I’ll be able to update this to 5 stars once everything is resolved. ~~~~~ Original: 1-Star. Scheduled an appointment for services. Was told they needed the vehicle for a few days so they can do the diagnostics. Was then told that the online scheduling is just to drop it off.
Hall GMC… In Canton… horrible, Their Crew in the Service Department, everyone from the Service Manger to the guys whom work on the cars should find another profession. Whomever hired them should find another profession. Went in to get my car serviced (oil change, engine filter, top off all fluids, cabin filter etc) no tire rotation (is about the only thing they got right). While I was being admitted, I asked if their HVAC person was there and Amanda, explained to me that he wasn’t. (She, Amanda, clearly is the only one who knows how to do her job, kudos to her) So, they serviced me car. Or so I thought, until 48 hours later. I stopped in Arlington at Jiffy Lube #3399 at 1531 S. Cooper St, in Arlington. That’s where I found out that HALL IN CANTON, TEXS, DID NOT IN FACT (not only change them) but did not top any of my fluids off. DID NOT IN FACT, Change my Engine or Cabin Filter. And did not secure a number of bolts. While I was at Jiffy lube who charged me the same price I paid AT HALL GMC IN CANTON, they actually asked me for the Service Report (which I always keep) I showed it to them and they said, “Everything they checked off here, they didn’t do half of it. They definitely got you”. So, everything that they serviced, they showed me and walked me through everything they were doing, EVERYTHING, even pulled out the engine filter with me being there, pulled it out, showed it to me… grabbed HALL’S Service report and said, “They checked this off like they put in a new one… does this look like a new one”? (Picture inserted below) So, after they were finished I called HALL GMC IN CANTON, and expressed my concerns and I was told that “I will tell our service manager and he will give you a call, I am so sorry this happened to you”. Clearly HALL GMC IN CANTON Needs a new Service Manager because this guy doesn’t know how to do his job either. And btw…. He’s 10 days late….. HALL GMC IN CANTON…. DO BETTER. Looks like HALL GMC IN TYLER, TEXAS (where I usually take my car) is the ONLY HALL GMC in East Texas anyone can rely on and TRUST.
The service personnel; were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. They did the service work in a timely manner. They even had suggestions of things that I needed to have serviced soon but were not "pushy" about it needing to be done right now.
