Service Advisor LYDIA MCDONALD is the BEST OF THE BEST on all measures of performance, including accurate and extensive technical knowledge, careful and meticulous automotive service and repair, 100% honesty and reliability, and genuinely friendly and welcoming customer service. [NOTE TO READER : This is a very lengthy customer review because this MAGIC dealership and LYDIA MCDONALD’s perfect performance deserve the highest appreciation, but all you really need to know is in the single sentence above.] For at least 6 years, I’ve received Lydia's complete honesty, and her careful and meticulous attention to detail which has assured that my three GMC-Cadillac vehicles have always received perfect service and/or repair. As icing on the cake, Lydia has always provided me (and all her customers) with her sincerely warm welcome, positivity, and engaging personality. All of this has resulted in 6 years of me having a Fun and No Stress experience whenever my three vehicles have received service or repair at this dealership - - yes, “Fun and No Stress”, because over these 6 years, the perfect and meticulous service and repair that Lydia has always provided for my three vehicles has EARNED MY FULL TRUST and I can actually relax and enjoy a trip to this dealership! LYDIA MCDONALD and her text-book collaboration with her highly skilled service team deserves every customer service award and all the stars. I’m VERY particular and VERY careful when it comes to obtaining service or repair for any of my vehicles, and my concern extends to receiving service or repair for ANY valuable equipment that I own. I spend a lot of time researching particular technical service issues and the companies and persons providing service, and I’ll read a ton of customer reviews and customer insights (on Google Reviews, Yelp, Reddit and Facebook). I simply don’t want to be scammed, and I want to prevent an auto-service horror story where I’m the victim. Lydia McDonald has proven to me to be EXACTLY the 100% honest and reliable professional who we all spend many years to find, and who is also a highly qualified and motivated individual who will move mountains to ensure that she and her team provide the best automotive service and repair for all her customers. My sincere and true comments about Lydia and her highly skilled and perfectly effective service team are based on the fact that for at least 6 years, I’ve received PERFECT service and repair from Lydia and her team for each of my three vehicles (Cadillac Escalade suv, GMC Yukon Denali suv, GMC Sierra Denali truck). During these 6 years, I’ve also observed that Lydia is an amazing team-player. She cheerfully assists other service advisors and colleagues, thereby assuring every customer receives the best service. Significantly, in late 2024, this dealership located in Santa Clarita changed ownership. This dealership was previously known as “PARKWAY” and it is now known as “MAGIC”. Fortunately, the team members and professionals on the front line - - particularly Lydia McDonald - - have not changed. Nevertheless, due to this dealership’s recent change in ownership, I was concerned that the new ownership might have compromised operational standards. Therefore, in January 2025 when I spoke with Lydia to schedule a service appointment for my Sierra Denali truck, I specifically asked Lydia about the new ownership, and if the change has adversely affected operations. BEFORE I even finished my question, Lydia happily and firmly stated that she really likes the new owners, and the new ownership will implement improvements which will assure and ENHANCE Lydia’s ability to provide excellent service. On January 17, 2025, when I dropped-off my vehicle, I met with Lydia, and I also walked around observing and talking with other team members and staff, and Lydia was right: The commitment to excellence is alive and well among the team members and staff at this “new” MAGIC dealership.
