2026 GMC Canyon 2WD Elevation Crew Cab Short Box

I have been shopping with Pro for many years. I let him know what I want and how much I can spend and he lets me know what’s available and when he can get it. No hassle and I feel like a get a good deal every time. This time is was a 2023 GMC.

My 2022 GMC Yukon, that I did not purchase from Prothro, was affected by the L87 6.2 engine recall. I had the recall inspection done at another dealer in the Lowcountry back in September. It “passed” the inspection and I was sent on my with an oil change and extended warranty. Three weeks later, it started knocking on a Sunday morning and I quit driving it. When I called the dealer that did the inspection, I was told it would be at least 2 weeks before they could even look at my vehicle if I had it towed there. My grandfather has done business with William Prothro for many years, so I decided to give them a call to see how quickly they could address the issue. Jeff in the service department was very helpful and professional so I decided to have it towed there on a Tuesday morning. By that afternoon Jeff called me saying they had already diagnosed the issue and it needed a new engine covered under warranty. A few of the required parts took some additional time to arrive, but Jeff was eager to provide updates through the process. I was able to pick my vehicle up just before Christmas and so far it is running like a new vehicle and they did a great job. I would highly recommend Prothro for service on your GM vehicle.
