The 2026 GMC Canyon Elevation serves as the gateway trim for the Canyon lineup, but it completely skips the stripped-down "work truck" vibe of traditional base models. Instead, GMC positions it as a highly capable, modern, and tech-forward entry point. Unlike other midsize trucks that restrict their best engines to top trims, the Elevation comes standard with the exact same TurboMax 2.7L four-cylinder engine found in the Denali. It pushes out 310 horsepower and a class-leading 430 lb-ft of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic. You don't have to upgrade trims to get a commanding view. The Elevation features the standard 2-inch factory-installed suspension lift and ultra-wide track, giving it a rugged look and 9.6 inches of ground clearance. It includes the Canyon Pro Safety suite out of the box, giving you automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, forward collision alert, and an HD Rear Vision camera with a specialized Hitch View.
