2024 Ford Mustang-Mach-e Select

I woke up this morning prepared to write a scathing one star review which is unfortunate because 1. I have never written a one star review 2. I had previously written James Hodge Ford Isabel a five star review for this same transaction and 3. I believe negativity usually only perpetuates more negativity and only love can perpetuate love. Before I could start writing though, my Bible verse of the day popped into my email in-box and changed my attitude (pictured below). So with this, I decided to remove the emotion and simply report the facts of what degraded my experience with this dealership from excellent to less than that. The sales representative that I’ve been dealing with is and has remained great. He’s been a responsive conduit to management, I presume, since my request, once I stated it (numerous times), takes a reasonable amount of time to get denied vs. getting immediately denied by him. I purchased a 2024 Ford Maverick with 790 miles on it approx. 3 weeks ago. At the time of delivery, I was told that the additional key/key fob combo would be mailed to me at a later date due to it not being found prior to the delivery driver’s departure. After a few days, I called to inquire about the key/key fob and was told that it couldn’t be found. My recommendation was to purchase a blank key in my home state and have it programmed at my own expense of $200+. Every request for a spare key done in the most polite way has been denied. I have been patient and professional in every encounter, with the exception of my last response yesterday in which I regret. For this I offer my sincere apology to Eric. I’m sorry for doing that. So my thought on the passing scene is that either the General Manager Roger Ballard hasn’t been made aware of this issue, or he has been made aware and is the person who made the decision to mar an otherwise exceptional customer experience, trading the previous five star review I posted in lieu of this current review and this, all over a spare key to a $31,500 vehicle. Even after removing the negative emotion this still leaves me confused on a rational level. The daily verse I received, removal of negative knee jerk emotion and last but not least, my salesman Eric Aquinaga are the reasons a one star is not warranted and these are also the reasons I know that a 4 star is a fair review of this overall experience. Finally, if anyone who is reading this has never experienced the calm and peace that only Jesus Christ can provide to us, please knock on His door because He promises that He will open the door and invite you into the life that he has already planned for you if you take His deal. It’s a good deal. It’s the best deal you’ll ever be offered. Matthew 2:13 Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Katie Gentry was amazing to work with. My Dodge Journey decided to retire after 8 years & 170k miles. Katie helped find the right car for our family. My husband swears he seen her save an orphan kitten as we were pulling out in our new ‘22 Ford Edge. Thank you for all your help Katie!! We love our new ride!

Great Service - This was my first visit to Hodge Ford. I had a an issue while traveling, they looked at it on Friday and had me partially running so I could go home that night. They said they would have the needed part on Saturday morning and to come back at 8:30 am. I was there at 8:30 am, they had the part and I was on my way by 9:30 am. I will use Hodge Ford again.
