I couldn't be happier with the people at Dearth. I wound up buying a 2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 on March 10th 2022 and consider it the classic "barn find", driven only to church on Sunday by a sweet elderly lady. I was driving my old Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland on December 12th when a situation arose that resulted in it being declared a total loss. I spent 2 days short of 3 months carefully and decisively looking for it's replacement. I probably searched over 200 vehicles nationwide on all of the car listing websites. I live in Skokie, Illinois and was ready to travel as far as the far Southwestern states to find it. Many "creampuffs" were lost because I delayed a day to long before trying to pursue a particular one, but most I lost interest in due to condition or lack of seller cooperation. I only physically looked at one other local vehicle. I was fortunate to find this particular Tahoe on the first day it listed. I called them shortly after 8:00 a.m. the next morning and came into contact with Keith. He talked with me for a long time, listening to my very specific requirements and answering them knowledgeably. It was the first time I felt I was on the right track. I asked him to take several additional pictures of specific areas of the Tahoe and he supplied them to me privately on two occasions. I began dealing with Mark in finance and he promised to hold the vehicle for several more days while we worked out terms and logistics. Among other things, I had to arrange transportation of a 125 miles up to Monroe, Wisconsin. Without these considerations, I am sure the Tahoe would have been long gone before I ever had a chance to see it. My wait was prolonged because of the detailing and total vehicle inspection that Keith had initially promised. I made arrangements with one friend for the ride up there. Another one came along for the ride. It was a great trip on a nice day. Monroe is a nice little Midwestern town and worth the drive in itself. When we arrived, the Tahoe was sitting outside the showroom doors and we could see it from the road. We were literally flabbergasted. It was everything I patiently and diligently had waited for. The interior was equally impressive. It ran like a watch. Done deal. I have now owned the vehicle for two weeks and grow more satisfied by the day. There have been no "check engine" issues that often go away, for a short time, with a quick flash of the computer. It runs perfectly to date. I purposely waited to offer this review so that I could remain honest. I'm 63 years old and have been a "car guy", do it yourself mechanic, my entire life. I really can't remember being more satisfied with a dealership or auto repair shop at any time in my life.
Denny Winters is great. Picked up my truck (about two miles away, got it fixexd and brought it back). He does excellent work and is a great example of what great service is about. Denny is why I will look for my next truck at Dearth Thank you Denny. Jack Larson, Argyle WI.
The service department is top notch. The service and parts advisors are knowledgeable and helpful. The techs are very competent and helpful as well. I trust the service department without question. That is why I drive 40 miles one way to have them service my GMC vehicles that I have purchased from Dearth for the same length of time.
