I have a Forester, Toyota Tacoma, and a Volvo. I normally steer-clear of dealers for repairs. However, this is my second Subaru and I know from experience that their quirky and harder to diagnose. For that reason, unless the problem is plainly obvious, I always take the Forester to Southern States. Recently, the A/C, radio, and remote mirrors (only) suddenly stopped working. I promptly took it to Southern who couldn't duplicate the problem. Eventually, I asked them to load-check the battery which was determined to be low, and they replaced it. So far, no further issues. Southern, like most repairers seem under-staffed but they communicate effectively throughout the process. And so long is their prices are competitive with others, I'd recommend them.

Had to get my car checked while visiting family in NC. Had car serviced in NY several days prior to road trip to NC. No issues. Until a couple days later tire sensor light came on twice (two days apart) so I knew I had a slow leak. Then heard rattling noise under car. Was heading back home to NY the day after I got my car checked at Sotihern States Subaru. They found nail in tire, so that was patched & heat shield was loose. So they replaced 2 bolts on that. My service advisor, Michael, was very nice. Thought I was gonna have to pay more than expected. But was only charged for patching the tire. So, that wasn't too bad. I was very pleased. Thanks to them, I was able to get back home to NY safely with no car issues.

Excellent service! Gennie our service advisor did a terrific job of ensuring all required services were performed and kept us informed of progress along the way. Amber appreciated having a loaner while her car was being serviced. Much appreciated, Mark.
