We are extremely happy with our new Acura MDX that we purchased a couple weeks ago. We have owned Acura's in the past and are very happy to have one again. I would like to tell you about our purchase at Kendall Acura of Eugene. We viewed the MDX on their website. It was a 2024 certified pre-owned vehicle with 988 miles on it. I sent an inquiry via the website and a gal named Toni called me on August 24th regarding our interest in the vehicle. We told her we live in Southern Oregon and that we would be able to drive up in a few days. Toni stated the vehicle was a bit dirty, as shown in the pictures and could have new pictures taken when it was cleaned. My husband kept in touch with Toni and we traveled to Eugene on August 28 with the intentions of purchasing that MDX. When we arrived, we were greeted, and we asked to speak with Toni since that is who we had been talking with. I'm sorry to say that I have never met a more unprofessional salesperson. She showed us the MDX (that had not been cleaned) and a couple other vehicles, that she ran down. We heard about her love life, her being a single parent, her dad, her formerly owning her own car or towing lot, it went on and on. She cussed and swore the whole conversation. She knew little about the MDX we were there to purchase. We went ahead with the purchase as we have been looking for a few months at ALL kinds of vehicles before we decided to purchase this one. Let me tell you, we had already made up our minds to purchase this vehicle when we made the 3+ hour drive to Kendall Acura. Toni did nothing to "Sell Us" on this vehicle. We had to wait for the finance gal, and it was later in the day. The finance gal was super nice and when we finished with that part we met back up with Toni, who had gotten her lovely daughter from daycare and was present for our goodbyes. To complete the sale, Toni was on the phone with her bank as it seemed her credit card had fraud on it and she needed to take care of that immediately. She was dropping the "F" bomb like crazy to her bank along with other colorful words, as she walked us out of the dealership, thanking us for the sale while cussing out her bank all in front of her 3-year-old daughter. In addition, when we asked if the car had a heated steering wheel, Toni assured us it did. She showed us what button to push for that feature and said all the cars with vented steering wheels were heated. We should have double checked, as this car does NOT have a heated steering wheel nor remote start. Both options that we specifically told her we wanted in the car. We had asked to leave the car there for a week so my husband could return to get it. That was no problem. My husband returned on September 3 to get the car. It still had not been cleaned. The floors were dirty and there was soda and wrappers in the cup holders. I emailed Kendall Acura of Eugene with no response. I called and was given the managers email, Fermin Vargas and sent him an email, still no response. I wanted to give Kendall the benefit of the doubt before I posted a negative review. Sadly, they seem not to care how unprofessional one of their employees can be. It was truly unbelievable. UPDATE: Kendall Acura, Manager Fermin Vargas went above and beyond to handle this situation once he was aware of it. He apologized to us for his employee and relayed to us that customer care was extremely important to Kendall Acura. He sent us a loaner car while he took in our car and made things right. This was done very quickly. My husband and I are very impressed with Mr. Vargas and his attention to this situation as we do not live near the dealership. He really went out of his way to correct things and we really didn't expect this.
