2025 Honda Civic Type-R

I have a stock 2005 Chevy duramax with the Allison1000 and the transmission started slipping and giving us problems. I called Charlie at Merchant Auto and he was very helpful. He didn’t try to sell me what I didn’t need. He sold me the work series rebuild kit with the valve body and single disk torque converter. I had never rebuilt any transmission before this one. During the rebuild I came across a few things I wasn’t sure about, I called Merchant Auto and talked to Joe, one of the specialist and he was very helpful and patient with me. They answered all my questions and the whole process was very smooth. I couldn’t believe how well it shifted the first test drive. We have since pulled several heavy loads with it, and it is working great. I’m very happy with the product and support I got from Metchant and definitely recommend them. Thank you!

So I’ll be open about it; I’ve been a customer for 15-20yrs and have gotten to know the team and owner pretty well. I’d go so far as to say they’re friends. I recognize them and they recognize me when we see each other. They’ve always done me well and take care of the things I when I ask or need them. I recommend them first and foremost out of many of the places I know that do duramax and Allison work. They also supply and offer accessories and better quality products that are available. Many of which are made right here in Michigan though from the other side of the state. Pictures are of my Allison after they built it and before it was installed.
