2025 VinFast VF 8 VF 8 Plus Standard Range

I highly recommend visiting this location if you’re even remotely curious about owning an electric vehicle (EV). VinFast has been on our radar since its debut in 2017, and while the first few generations had some kinks, the company clearly listened to customer feedback. The 2025 model is proof of that—they’ve truly delivered! We’re thrilled with this car, especially since it’s our first EV. The fantastic lease deal we secured was the final push we needed to take the leap. Beyond the car itself, I have to highlight our incredible sales rep, Amanda. With years of experience in the automotive industry, she effortlessly answered our exhaustive list of questions. Throughout the ordering process, she kept us updated with real-time information and was always quick to respond to our messages with helpful advice. Amanda’s expertise and dedication were a major factor in our decision to choose VinFast for our first EV. She made the experience exceptional!

Checked out the VinFast showroom today. The cars look like a standard ICE SUV and have all of the features to be a competitor of the Tesla Model Y. The sales rep was eager to explain all of the features of the cars. He was able to fully answer all of our questions. We could tell he knew what he was talking about, and was not just reciting a memorized sales script. This car actually has room in the lower trunk compartment for a spare tire! That's a definite plus.

My husband and I were drawn to checkout VinFast after seeing they offered 0 Down leases while walking around UTC. We have heard horror stories from people with EVs and we wanted to lease one and try it out for a few years before fully committing to buy one to see if having an EV suits our lifestyle. Our solar panels overproduce by thousands upon thousands of kWh a year, so we figured we can direct some of our electricity to an EV instead of letting SDGE give us fractions of a penny for our extra electricity every year. We made an appointment to test drive a VinFast VF8 and VF9 and met Amanda, who was very knowledgeable and happy to educate us about VinFast. We knew nothing about the car other than my Neurologist told me about the Vietnamese car company years ago because he wanted an electric SUV larger than his Tesla X and he put down a deposit for a more comfortable EV with VinFast. We tried the VF8 first to see if it would meet our needs. Amanda let us drive the VF8 to our car to test if our dog crate would fit. They didn't design a large underbelly cargo compartment like the Tesla Y, so we immediately knew the smaller VinFast SUV would not suit us. Instead of extra storage space in the trunk, a spare tire was in the underbelly. My husband considered taking out the spare tire for storage, but it would not hold much when we have a full car with kids, luggage, and our crated Siberian Husky. Luckily, they had the gorgeous VF9. We could definitely see our family enjoying this beauty. My husband said we can't let the kids know that their seats in the back have heating and cooling functions as well as a massager or they'll always want them on and drain our battery! We absolutely loved the car and put down a deposit for a vehicle that was at a port in Northern California. The process was extremely easy, and Amanda really took care of us. I had initially arranged to pick up the car in Huntington Beach, but Amanda and her manager were able to change the pickup to UTC so we don't have to drive up to HB to get our car. We were also given generous gifts with our purchase. Amanda checked in on us and answered all of our questions. We were concerned about charging the car if we took it on a road trip down to Puerto Penasco, Mexico and our concerns were eased. We had to pause completing the financing for the VinFast because we were also trying to buy a home, and we can't make make any large purchases if we're in escrow. In the end, we did cancel getting our VinFast, but wanted to share our experience in case it might help others take a look at the EV cars offered by VinFast. Looking up info on the founder gave me another perspective on this newer company to the US market and his ambitious vision with good intentions. Amanda was fantastic, and it was clear the manager was also very helpful since he helped Amanda change our delivery showroom. I don't usually lease cars, but it's a great idea if you want to experiment with an EV for yourself. The offers VinFast gives for leasing options are very competitive and attractive.
