In April 2024, we wanted to look at purchasing a small convertible. However, as parents with a special needs son, we weren't sure if he would love the extra wind associated with riding in the back seat with the top down. After searching for small convertibles (it needs to fit in our third garage bay) the MINI Cooper S was at the top of our list. However, neither my wife or I had driven a MINI before. I called Dreyer & Reinbold near our home and was put in touch with Todd Hartley. I was completely honest with him saying "We would like to test drive a convertible, because we are not sure if our son will love it or hate it." I basically told him, that if our son doesn't like it, we won't go any further. Todd's understood our situation completely and reassured me that there was no pressure at all. We ended the call with him giving me his contact information and let him know when we were ready for the test drive. On the day of the test drive, I told Todd about two vehicles I was interested in: a 2019 model and a 2024 model that was British Racing Green with baseball-glove leather interior. When we arrived, the 2024 model was backed in near the door, with the top down and ready to drive. That same evening, there was a MINI event and we met another family there who also had a special needs son - just several years older than our son. This felt like a good sign. I pulled away from the dealership and quickly realized how much I loved the go-kart feel of this MINI Cooper S. It was in Sport mode so that made it even more fun. I turned around to see my son totally loving the experience - looking around with the wind blowing his hair all around. My wife was next to him, loving it as well. I pulled into a parking lot and asked her if she wanted to take it for a drive. She did and quickly feel in love with the experience. I would say we shared the amount of time we were on the test drive - both of us completely impressed. We got back and Todd was great about not pressuring us, even though I told him our son loved the experience. In fact, driving the MINI Cooper S was far better than I ever expected it to be. Over dinner we talked about our options. This included the 2019 model that was at the dealership, plus two other models that were on Carvana. At that point we were thinking the 2024 model was a bit too much for a car we are rarely going to drive. I even started the process of making an offer over Carvana for a 2024 that had about 10,000 miles on it. I ended up stopping, because I didn't want to do everything on my phone, especially at dinner. As we drove home from dinner, we kept talking about the 2024 model that we just drove. That night, I think I watched about 10 different YouTube videos on the model with the Iconic package. Still, that green color with the baseball-glove like leather was amazing. Before bed, I texted Todd and told him we wanted to see what the out-the-door price was for the 2024 model. I gave him three different down payment options that we were considering. He texted me back right away and told me it would be his top priority when he arrived at work. He provided a summary of all three options and after running it by my wife, we decided to buy the 2024 model. By 5 PM I was driving home from the dealership in a brand new convertible that had only 1 mile on it when we started it for our test drive. During the process I had the most-amazing experience with Ron Quammen who is the business manager at the dealership. There was no pressure to buy any additional services or packages than I already planned. We had an amazing conversation as well, as if we had known each other for years. My experience could not have been any better, as Todd was excellent to work with and Ron was wonderful at closing out the transaction. If you are looking for a no-pressure experience with a team focused on helping you meet you needs, Dreyer & Reinbold MINI Cooper should be at the top of your list!
I have been wanting to trade in my 2015 mini coupe for something bigger for awhile now. I saw a countryman online and was able to come in, Todd Hartley was able to assist me for the 2nd time. He even offered and took my purchase agreement to the bank for me to save me some time. Wonderful experience! So excited about my “new to me mini” and will continue using Dreyer Reinbold Mini for my car service in the future. Highly recommended!
I saw a MINI with the exact specs I wanted for sale in Dreyer & Reinbold's inventory. When I asked about it, Todd Hartley informed me that it was already sold. However, I sat with him and let him know exactly what I wanted and he found me two matches! (I was very specific... lol) One was on the boat headed for another dealership, but he was able to get it for me. I ended up trading my five year old beauty (Vesper) and the entire team made the process simple. This is my third MINI since 2008 and I am always pleased...with the cars, the care, and the service at D&R. Very happy. ??
