My task was simple. My mission was clear. To find a new SUV on my terms with the price and features I wanted. I could care less if it took a week or six months of emailing dealerships. I refused to pay dealerships so-called “dealer set MSRP”. Furthermore, I refused to speak to a single salesperson over the phone. As I stated in a previous review, email was the only route I was taking. I know how challenging this may seem. However, I had enough of dealing with sneaky salespeople attempting to place you in the vehicle they want - not the one you desire. I wanted everything strictly by email. After emailing 15 dealerships nationwide, I settled on Grubbs Acura of Tulsa. Through a miracle, I received an email from Eric Battle (Sales Director). I was straight to the point with what I required from my new SUV. The wheels had to have a certain look, the interior outfitted with a two-toned look, and most importantly, the color had to be black. I explained to Mr. Battle that I was serious about purchasing. In addition, I mentioned that I’m not looking to waste my time with sneaky tactics - I had an out-the-door-quote within hours. The offer Mr. Battle made was by far one of the best offers I received for the exact vehicle I wanted. I appreciate Eric’s straightforward, no-nonsense attitude. Eric answered every question I had without any issues. No matter the time of day I emailed- his response was always prompt. The lady at the service department was excellent at taking care of her customers. But I had to wait for about 10-15 minutes before she could help me out because she is helping another customer at the time while there was another person just sitting by her right side who could at least help out to make things faster but he didn't seem to care. He seemed to be happy just sitting there.
