I recently visited Bob Mayberry Hyundai's service center for maintenance on my vehicle, which I purchased second-hand and had not received any recall notifications for. The service team was incredibly professional and thorough in their approach. Service Advisor Josh Pepper, David Short and Service Manager Deloreto provided exceptional assistance. They carefully explained the necessary services, including a transmission fluid change recommended by mileage, and took care of the recall issue at no cost. This was the first time I brought my car in for service. Usually my husband will take it in on a Saturday. I was a little bit confused today. When the doors lifted up you pull in and a service writer was at the desk with nobody around. She did not get up to greet me so I was confused as she just sat there. I got out and gave her the keys and she pulled the car up. This is where it was very confusing. When we bought the car we get 4 oil changes for free. So basically we get it every other one because the owners manual states to have it changed at 7,000 miles (not sure 100% on that) but we like it changed every 5,000 miles, so we pay for every other oil change. Ok, when I was checked in I was informed that I still had 1,000 miles left before my service was due. I asked them why because the sticker said it was due at my current mileage. The service writer said “they did that because people don’t bring their cars in on time” I am like really? So she said you can get it done today or wait another 1,000 miles. Umm, I came out of my way to get it so I got an oil change at 1,000 miles early and paid my $61 dollars. That system is ridiculous. Anyway, it was about the standard 55 minute wait to get my oil change which is fine. The service lounge was nice with free coffee set up. Everyone was nice but cannot give 5 stars because of the service writer not getting off the chair to greet me because I looked confused or the 1,000 mile difference of when I actually needed the oil change.
Took my Palisade here for the first time after previously going to another Hyundai dealership. Not only did they fix the issue with my vehicle (which the other dealership said they would most likely not be able to repair), but my service advisor Jessie suggested giving the software update they installed a chance to work rather than purchasing a relatively expensive part. Her helpfulness and honesty made me a customer for as long as I own this vehicle. The service BDC agent, Aiden made me feel like a valued customer by ensuring my experience went perfectly. He reached out before my appointment to introduce himself and followed up with me after the work was completed. I would absolutely recommend the service department at Hyundai of Union County!
