As someone who spent 15 years in the auto industry, I feel that I can confidently say I have a keen eye for good business and even better sense for good people. Scott and Jessica are amazing people who made the experience super easy. I was able to find the perfect 3rd row family vehicle for our family of 6 through Facebook Market place. Scott was quick to reply to my inquiry and made it clear he doesn't rely on stereotypical auto sales tactics. Once we showed up to the lot, Scott immediately greeted us and found the keys for the vehicle we were interested in. He gave me plenty of space to look through the vehicle without hovering around feeding me word track after word track. Once I went to start the vehicle up the battery ended up being dead. I could tell my the condition of the battery and engine compartment that it was likely due to an interior light being left on or door not being shut all the way. Scott was QUICK to jump start the vehicle and without even asking, assured me that if the battery needed replacing, he would do so with no charge to me. During the test drive the vehicle was even better than I imagined. Drives straight as an arrow, knee deep in rubber all the way around (including the FULL SIZE spare), no shaking, brakes feel brand new, all interior and exterior lights work. After getting back from the test drive I knew this vehicle was the one. Negotiating, if you could even call it that, was easier than anything I had experienced in the auto industry before. One of the primary reasons I walked out of a 15 year auto sales career was the excruciating process that customers are put through just to make a deal. Scott made it clear that he was as disinterested in that process as any customer. I let him know what my situation was, thoughts on a fair deal, and what would work for my wife and I in order to take the vehicle home. Without skipping a beat, Scott provided what he could do. It made sense for our financial situation and just the way things should be done, we sealed it with a handshake. I was putting about 90% down and the time of the day would make it impossible to get to the bank in time, pull that amount out, and get back in time to finalize documents. Scott took my word and my handshake as gospel, as I did his. He held the vehicle for the night and I was able to finalize documents and pick the rig up the next morning. I finalized documents with Jessica. She made it clear that she shared the same sentiment on how easy buying a vehicle should be in today's day and age. No ridiculously long and uncalled for presentation on extended warranty's, windshield coverages, etc... Thank you Tri Cities Trucks for making my car buying journey so easy and enjoyable. You've restored my faith that there actually are people out there not over complicating the buying process.
