Gateway Classic Cars Tampa is proud to digitally present this hard to find 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Ford originally built the Thunder to be a two seat competitor to the Chevrolet Corvette. By 1958 that changed and the T'bird became more of a luxury car for the American family. That was until the Turbo Coupes appeared. No, they weren't a V8 and no they weren't a two seater. The Turbo Coupe mixed performance with styling and dare we say, even mild luxury. The cars could compete with the European market as well as the American. In 1988, the Caprice was a style-less box on wheels, and the guys at Mopar....well they had nothing to offer. This white bird has been in the consignors garage for over three decades! The 2.3l Turbo, same as the SVO Mustang, was pulled, rebuilt, and massaged several years back so don't be afraid of the odometer. In addition, an intercooler was installed to help with performance. The bright white exterior and blue interior is a classic combination and still presents well. The Turbo Coupes are just cool cars and this one is ready for the open road. Comes with a clean Carfax.

First time here with hubby (who loves vintage cars) and I had a great time! They had refreshments and plenty of cars to see (inside and outside). My hubby fell in love with an 83' Rivera for $16k (I believe, see pic attached) and if I come into some money, I would love to definitely buy it for him as he loves "ol' skool cars"!!! Definitely a bigger crowd than last time and more cars. I just love going to support my hubby and watch him as his eyes light up like a kid in a candy store whenever we come here!
This place is a great place to visit and spend a Saturday morning viewing the cars and seeing what venders they have. Come check us out! I’m here representing Oreillys auto parts.
Nice afternoon gawking at some beautiful cars with my nephew for his birthday. I have driven on 394 thousands of times, but never knew this was here. Thanks to my fiance, we came across this place in the off season of the outdoor car shows. Hung out and perused the variety of cars stored here and took lots of pictures. They had coffee and water on hand with M&M's or trail mix for snacks. There are very clean restrooms here. ( this was a bonus f ok r me because we had just had a lengthy drive from the Mons tree era Jam at Allstate Areana)They have half a dozen posters to choose from if you were interested in decorating a space. Huge hit for my nephew! The staff is very engaging and cheerful. Always enjoy a quiet place to go with a shiny, elaborate, luxurious automotive scenery.
