Introduced for 1955 as a sporty yet luxurious two-seater convertible, Ford's Thunderbird boasted handsome styling, a close-coupled cockpit and standard V8 power. As the years went on it morphed into a large luxury coupe and was eventually dropped in the late 1990s before being reborn for 2002 as once again, a sleek, V8-powered, two seater convertible. Here we have one of those modern day, retro-themed Thunderbirds. Better yet, it is a beautiful, pampered from day one example that boasts just 8,215 miles as well as a clean Carfax. As such, this T-bird looks more like a 2-year-old rather than a 24-year-old car. The arrow-straight body looks fantastic in Evening Black that's accented with 7-spoke chrome wheels. As expected, the black convertible top is likewise in pristine condition. The car also comes with the removeable hardtop that features the retro-inspired "porthole" windows just like a '56 Thunderbird. Inside, everything from the top down to the carpeting is in excellent condition and the plush leather seats offer plenty of comfort. Feature highlights include power windows/locks/mirrors/seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and an AM/FM/6-CD premium sound system. Under the scooped hood is a muscular yet refined 3.9-liter V8 that sends the power to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic. Underway, the Thunderbird moves out smoothly and, when desired, swiftly while the handling dynamics and ride comfort are similarly refined. A Borla exhaust system provides a subdued yet muscular soundtrack when you lean into it. With their combination of open-air fun, comfort, performance and style, these "Retro Birds" are great values. I have been searching for the right 60 Chevy, like my dad had, for years and finally found it! Amazing car, exactly as described, and Roland and Jill were awesome to work with. Thanks so much!
I recently Purchased an amazingly beautiful 1963 Ford Falcon Convertible from Carroll Street Auto and I cannot be happier. Roland and Jeff provided so much information regarding the history and condition of the vehicle, which is pristine, and answered every possible question I had and believe me, I ask a lot of questions. I live in California so I had a private pre-inspection prior to flying to New Hampshire and the inspector said it was one of the nicest, well maintained cars he has ever seen. You can tell that classic cars are not just a business for them, but a passion. They had so many amazing cars in perfect condition that It was like visiting a classic car museum. They were so patient and really went above and beyond to make the process of purchasing and transporting the car to California, painless. What has been helpful as well is their availability to provide any assistance or answer any questions I had after the purchase. I know this isn't necessarily what some people care or think about when buying a car, but one of the things I love about classic cars is the story behind the car. This car has a sweet story and they have put me in contact with the previous owner, who's husband loved this car and recently passed away. I will hopefully meet her face to face and plan to take her for a ride when she comes to California. There are several classic car dealers in California, that would be more convenient for me to go but I would only trust Roland and Jeff if I wanted to buy another classic car. BTW-I feel so strongly about them that I am writing review , which I never do. Good luck with your classic car search and if you buy a car from them, you will not regret it.
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Carroll Street Auto. Roland was a pleasure to deal with as was the rest of the crew (Jill and Jeff). I purchased a 1969 L89 Corvette (only 390 made) project car and the car was actually better than I expected. Roland was always there to answer my questions and provided me with tons of pictures and videos. I’ve bought a lot of cars over the years, and sometimes things can go sideways, especially when buying site unseen like I often do. This was by far the smoothest, best experience I’ve had when buying a classic car. Roland was really great to deal with and I really appreciated all the extra work he did for me (that he didn’t have to do). Very easy for me to rate this transaction a 10/10 Thanks again Roland and crew for everything! I’ll keep you up to date on the restoration! Joe Westbury
