I had a great experience with the service department at McLaughlin Volvo in Moline, IL! It started with the woman who scheduled my appointment over the phone. She was so friendly and patient (didn’t talk to me like she was in a rush). Knowing that I’d be driving from the Iowa City area, she let me know about their waiting area with complimentary beverages and snacks. :-) Drew in service greeted me upon my arrival and checked me in. I settled in at a table in their waiting area and received a text from Drew. He wanted me to have his cell number so that we could communicate without me having to leave my seat. I had the best conversation with Drew during checkout! I could easily tell that this is not just a job for him- he spoke about cars with such passion and knowledge! He shared some tips with me on my car (I’ve only had it a few months) and informed me of things that I didn’t know my car could do. I could have had my car serviced at the Volvo dealership where I purchased my car (only 15 minutes away) but when trying to schedule my appointment, they couldn’t get me in for almost 2 weeks and I needed the maintenance before an upcoming road trip. I was disappointed- I felt like they weren’t trying very hard to help me. McLaughlin Volvo is just over an hour away but so worth the drive! It worked out better for me in the end - Drew made me feel like a valued customer. I left there happy, knowing that he has my back!
We are looking for a new car and inquired over the internet what our trade in is worth. Kimberly Hicks called the next day asking if she could answer any questions about the products she sells. So I ran over and she showed me the options it had and we test drove a Forester. The first car I didn't hit my head getting in. This is a great car for tall people. Kim knew her product and when I take my wife over for a test ride I'm sure we will be driving a Forester home. Sorry to say when we made our way back to have my wife test drive and pick out a Forester they had sold all of their new ones. And it was Kim's day off but another salesman pulled up a used one and we went on a short test drive. He explained all of the options available on a new one beings the used one didn't have all of the options my wife wanted. Unfortunately my wife wasn't impressed with the car as I was. I'm sure if she had drove a Touring she would have been more impressed with the vehicle. This dealership is the most professional and clean. They run it very efficiently and professionally. We ended up buying a Tahoe (my wife's choice) otherwise we would have waited for a new Forester Touring to come in. Thank you Kim Hicks for your non pressure but very professional sales style.
