I've had good buying experiences from dealers, and I've had bad. By far, this is one of the best. Mike's prices say firm, on the website, and for good reason. I have been shopping for a HD diesel for months, and these guys beat everyone else by around $10k. Not only that, but he gave me more than anyone else would for my trade. Finding their listing on Auto Trader, I called CENTEX to ensure that the vehicle I was interested in, wouldn’t get sold before I made the 2-hour drive to take a look. They were good to their word. When I arrived, I found their great-looking and mechanically sound truck I was interested in, pulled up front, waiting for my arrival. The photos represented it well. Initially, I was taken aback when they refused to negotiate the sales price. But once they explained that they offer vehicles at fair prices -- and make sure that everyone gets the same fair deal, I understood the merits of this approach. Since the listed sales price was reasonable, I bought it. So, though unusual in my experience, this ended up being a hassle-free way to purchase a used truck. Wanting a grill guard and LED lights, they installed these improvements at a very reasonable cost, adding them to the purchase price. With this approach, they could bundle my upgrades into the vehicle loan, so I didn’t have additional out-of-pocket expenses. After I agreed to purchase the vehicle, they efficiently handled all the paperwork. Due to the expertise of CENTEX, they streamlined the process with my credit union. They got me into my new (used) vehicle quickly. Centex made the entire process painless and fast. No surprises. The CENTEX employees were personable and professional. From the manager who handled the sale and processed the loan, to the guy who quickly drove to the State office to get my license plates and facilitated the upgrades, to the helpful and knowledgeable owner, Centex’s entire staff were all stellar. Every single one of them. Even though this business is a long way from where I live, I went back to CENTEX for service. Why? Because they do quality mechanical work, as well. My experience is that I can also trust them to do high-quality maintenance and repair work at a fair price. I highly recommend CENTEX Truck and Auto.
