2004 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 As impressive as it is in shouldering aside mass quantities of air, what's even more impressive is the Excursion's department at all speeds, great and small. The steering, although limited in feel, is surprisingly quick and accurate, lending an eager feel to turn-in, and a relatively high level of roll stiffness keeps cornering attitudes gratifyingly flat. It's hard to ally the word agile with a rig like this, but during the course of a day in the Montana highlands, that word kept popping into our brains. Not the agility of a halfback or a cheetah, more like a rhinoceros. But when did you ever see a rhinoceros trip over its own feet? Car and Driver, Sept 1999For consignment, a 2004 Ford Excursion Limited 4x4 with a title verified 200,939 actual miles. The Excursion was designed to compete with the Chevrolet Suburban and only the Ford E-350 Super Wagon had more interior space. The model had a five year run from 2000 to 2005 and this particular rig comes with a bulletproofed 6.0 liter Powerstroke diesel V8.ExteriorIt's size is indeed impressive made even more obvious by the Ford grille with some of the biggest letters you'll see on a pedestrian car and side mirrors that protrude like elephant ears, but that's because you'll likely be towing a camper or boat with this beast; a hitch ball in back is poised to accept what you have. The body and Mineral Gray Metallic paint are in nice shape and are evidence of a well cared for rig. Rain guards, tinted windows, and fixed running boards are all icing on this big cake while the 16-inch chrome wheels add some bling and carry LT265/75R16 tires with a late 2025 date code. That's a sizable expense you won't need to expend for a while! Meanwhile, the barn doors out back are smooth under a top hinged hatch, all offering some loading options. Imperfections include various rock chips, a few scuffs. InteriorMedium Parchment formed plastic makes up the busy door panels and various storage bins are built in along with speakers, carpeted insert, and woodgrain accenting as a panel and surrounding the switchgear and other than some peeling clear coat, the doors present in great shape. Inside, appropriately large leather bucket seats wear an embroidered Limited inscription while the wide bench in back provides a luxurious leather base without the script. Naturally, there's also a third row with an understated bench and all seats are in remarkably good condition with only some minor blemishes. The Limited offers numerous controls on each front bucket. The steering wheel shows some age and fronts a dash strewn with woodgrain panels and a simple instrument cluster. There's a screen in the center, an AM/FM/CD radio, and a push button A/C panel. A column shifter allows the floor to be open, but up above contains a series of amenities from a console with storage, A/C controls and a DVD player for rear occupants, lights, grab handles, a clock, and vents. The way back has a protective WeatherTech mat and lots of space that shows some use. DrivetrainUnder the hood and partially into the firewall is the bulletproofed 6.0 liter Powerstroke V8, fuel injected and with 325 horsepower. It's mated to a 5R110W 5-speed automatic transmission that splits power between the Ford Sterling 10.5 in back and Dana 50 in front, both with 3.73 gears. We note a Sinister Diesel coolant filtration system in the bay. UndercarriageShining with undercoating, the underside belies the mileage and appears clean. Leaf spring suspension is found front and rear as are power disc brakes. A single exhaust flows through a stock style muffler, finding the atmosphere through a chrome tip behind the right rear wheel. Drive-AbilityThis big family friendly truck still delivers a smooth ride as you pilot from on high, tracking straight and providing good power. It's a long way to the rear window so those side mirrors really do come in handy! We note the power mirrors don't move right and the added volt gauge is not working. All other functions on this Built Tough Excursion operate as they should, and we can't say we're not surprised! While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.Whether you're headed to the track, a national park, country club, or Trader Joes, this is the ride that will allow you to take your growing family, pets, and bags along with you. Remove the rear seats, and you'll have 146 cubic feet of space on the inside! 1FMSU43P84EA899951-USA F-Ford Motor CompanyM-MPVS-9001 To 10,000 GVWRU43-Excursion Limited 4x4P-6.0 Liter Powerstroke V88-Check Digit4-2004E-Jefferson, KY Assy PlantA89995-Sequential Unit NumberClassic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (that's more than 8 acres!). Classic auto Mall. 90 mom from Bel Air MD. Classic cars and Muscle cars as far as the eye can see. All for sale. All indoors!!! And best of all FREE!!!! I highly recommend this place to any Classic car enthusiasts..if you are trying to buy or sell them. Took us 3 hours to tour this place. (Could have stayed much). Consignment for cars. Very cool. Go here. Drive all the way around the building to find the entrance
I think it's incredibly cool that they give you free admission to see automobile history. It could be classified as a museum. Also, you can buy the exhibits too!
Absolutely awesome experience. There are so many nice cars under one roof you can't believe your eyes. Some are really reasonably priced others are priced as they should be high. If you want a classic car in good condition this is the place to go. Most of the cars are really really nice. The variety is incredible.
