I read the reviews and I understand the various opinions. I also know how to buy cars as I have bought A LOT of used and new cars over the years. I went to purchase a car for my daughter and the owners were the best salesmen ever! They were upfront and honest about the cars minor issues and I appreciated that. Understanding that I was buying a used car, cash upfront, as is, I knew what the deal was from the beginning. I will definitely go back! Not all used cars are going to be perfect, but the car I picked was perfect for my daughter.
My experience with the staff at A-1 was great, buying my own car for the first time went smooth and easy. I got lucky to be the first for a high desired car and they honored my appointment, and even helped me get the car off the lot as soon as possible as I’m an out of town customer! All in all, wonderful place to do business.
So I was looking for a dealer to make a used car purchase for a vehicle that would work for commuting to work at 30 miles each way. I am always sceptacle when looking for a used car as you have to use common sense because you never know what you might be buying. It is not the responsibility of the dealer to put money into the car when they get it or make repairs as they buy these cars from other dealers as trade-ins. I met Angie and her husband at A-1 and couldn’t have asked for two better people to deal with. They are two honest and down to earth people and didn’t push me to one vehicle or another. I had to use my own instinct and common sense when checking these vehicles out. Also all these comments on here make me laugh hysterically. First off each vehicle is different from the next meaning different mileage, required maintenance, cosmetic shape etc. The vehicle I purchased was a 2006 Scion TC definetly not a hooptie as some on here called it. The vehicle was a diamond in the rough. Drives like it is brand new. Drove it to work and back Thursday and Friday. Saturday took it to my mechanic to have it checked out and bring it up to date on any required maintenance. Yes you do need to put money into a vehicle for maintenance or it will stop running on you like another comment I saw on here. Vehicle is mechanically sound. I got it an oil change, put new wipers on it, and got a fuel system and induction service done that ran about $350. Again yes part of required maintenance for the vehicle. I assumed this cost as an investment to my investment of the vehicle. The vehicle currently drives like new condition for under $3000 I paid. Angie and her husband are not like other dealers around town that probably would have tried to charge me double for the price of this car. I paid cash and don’t have a car payment. I also laugh because my neghbor just purchased a new truck for $55,000 and his monthly payment is more than my mortgage payment. I will smile everyday I drive by him in my “hooptie” as he goes nuts when he gets a speck of dirt on his truck. Also if you base your decision on an investment for yourself on someone else’s political or religious belief system then I feel even more sorry for you. The best part about this country is freedom and that includes freedom of where and what vehicle to buy. If you want you have the freedom to go to a dealer that supports the current administration running this country and If you are really lucky you might find a crack pipe or bag of cocaine in the vehicle at no extra cost. Oh wait the cocaine was at the white house (sorry). Feel free to not shop here as I will be sending them future business to make up for your loss.
