Dealer's notes

1997 Cadillac Sedan Deville d'Elegance Cadillac introduces the new Deville, the spirited DeVille Concours, and the classic luxury of DeVille d'Elegance. With comforts and conveniences that recharge you. World class safety and security features that reassure you. And Northstar performance and control that energize you. Life has been good. But with DeVille, the best is yet to come. From the 1997 Cadillac sales brochure. For consignment, a 1997 Cadillac Sedan DeVille d'Elegance with a title verified 37,735 actual miles. Here's a stunning example of the pinnacle of the GM line in 1997 and the sales brochure occupies many pages touting the still relatively new Northstar series.ExteriorClass on wheels, this Cadillac is dressed in a coat of two stage Dark Adriatic Blue paint and this example has an enormous presence and we're not just talking about dimensions. Spectacular paint is sharply contrasted by the bright body side molding that runs end to end, breaking only for the 16-inch chrome wheels. Up front, clear headlights sit flush outside of a prominent eggcrate grille while in back, blue remains king with the exception of the thing, vertical tail lights, chrome topped bumper, and sizable reverse lights. The mock convertible canvas top is stunning and houses a sunroof and an embroidered gold Cadillac crest on the C-pillars. Gold is also used to trim emblems, molding, the hood ornament and is the color of the side pinstripe. Imperfections are limited to some water staining on the hood, an outward ding on the trunk lid, scuffs on the rear bumper cover, various scratches, and spots throughout the side molding and rear trim clear coat.InteriorSoft blue surfaces on the doors are accented with glossy woodgrain insert trim as the header and along with switchgear, carpeted lowers, and courtesy lights, all four doors present in excellent condition. They open up to blue leather bucket seats in front, soft and subtle and showing some minimal patina on the driver's side with compression and a touch of wear, while passenger and rear bench show nicely and center armrests are provided front and rear. The band of wood continues almost seamlessly across the wide dashboard where greenlit digital readouts fill a black screen in front the steering wheel and a simple Delco AM/FM/Cassette radio is embedded in the center. The blue carpet is toes deep plush and there's plenty of it for rear passengers as well. Our headliner and overhead console are just about showroom condition and the trunk will fit just about anything you can throw at it, holding it in its gray cloth paneled and clean environment. DrivetrainThe flat floors inside are made possible by the transverse 4.6 liter Northstar V8 under the hood, putting out 275 horsepower via fuel injection and keeping power up front through a 4T60E 4-speed automatic and 3.11 gears. The bay presents cleanly. UndercarriageDriver quality conditions are found underneath with some surface and road soot on otherwise clean and dry surfaces. A single exhaust travels the length of the car and then splits to enter a pair of original equipment mufflers, terminating out of sight behind the rear bumper. Power disc brakes are on all four wheels and independent suspension consists of Macpherson struts in front and coil springs in back. Drive-AbilityIt's smooth sailing in this Adriatic Blue land yacht where comfort is king, and so are you behind the wheel! There's very good power under foot and small bumps are squelched under the soft suspension and cushy seats. The low refrigerant light is on on the dashboard and as a result, the A/C is not working, but all other functions in this low mileage example operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Cadillacs were a big part of the TV series The Sopranos and along with Tony's Escalade, Pauly Walnuts drove a 1997 DeVille with the canvas top! You're in good company and as they say, only the best for the family. This is a stunning example of a well preserved flagship car from GM and if you don't adopt it as a daily driver, it would be a welcome entry into the Cadillac car show!1G6KE54Y7VU2745641-USAG-General Motors6-CadillacKE-Deville d'Elegance5-4 Door Sedan2-Manual Belts, Front AirbagsY-4.6 Liter Northstar V8 275hp7-Check DigitV-1997U-Hamtramck, MI Assy Plant274564-Sequential Unit NumberClassic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (that's more than 8 acres!). I think it's incredibly cool that they give you free admission to see automobile history. It could be classified as a museum. Also, you can buy the exhibits too!

Absolutely awesome experience. There are so many nice cars under one roof you can't believe your eyes. Some are really reasonably priced others are priced as they should be high. If you want a classic car in good condition this is the place to go. Most of the cars are really really nice. The variety is incredible.
