The 2004 Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) is a unique, retro-styled hardtop convertible pickup truck inspired by Chevy's "Advance Design" trucks from the late 1940s. Often described as a "factory-built hot rod," it remains a rare sight due to limited production of under 25,000 SSR's leaving the General Motors plant in Lansing, Michigan.
