TL; DR: While our car-buying experience wasn't without a few hiccups here, we're overall very pleased. We got a nice car for a great price and met some cool people in the process. Detailed review follows: Avrom was my first point of contact, and he was reasonable and pleasant the few times we encountered him. Our initial salesperson, Edward, left something to be desired, but in the short time between our first and second visits here (six days), he quit (or was fired?)...so that explains that. Not sure what was up with Jeff, who is somehow a sales manager. When the monthly lease price was much higher than what we'd expected based on our research (nearly 30% higher), we asked him to explain the numbers to us. We weren't sure where the discrepancy was, and we wanted to understand if they were trying to get more money out of us, or if our expectations were unrealistic. He flat-out refused to explain and told us that "the numbers are the numbers." Come on, bro. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. He acted like he had better places to be and honestly could use some work on his people skills. Paul ultimately was our salesperson, and he was great. He was willing to take time with us to make us feel like we understood everything and he answered all of our questions patiently. (My husband actually just noted to me as I was writing this that if it wasn't for Paul, we wouldn't have bought a car here.) Nick was great, too. He was our finance guy, and he took time to go over all the numbers with us and answer our (many!) questions with good humor. We also met two other gentlemen after we'd purchased the car. One was at the tall desk and another hung out with us for a bit in the lot. Both were so friendly and nice; I wish I'd gotten their names! So while our car-buying process started out a bit rocky, we ended up feeling really positive about it. Many thanks to Paul, Nick, Avrom, and the two lovely gentlemen whose names I didn't catch. Oh and also....we loved the birds!
Just bought a new Crosstrek from Kevin Odea and I can't say enough good things about this guy. We drove past two dealerships to get back to Dan Perkins because of him. He took us for a test drive two weeks ago and was so friendly and charismatic that we decided on the spot we were coming back to work with him. This is the kind of experience that you dream of when buying a car. I was terrified a few weeks ago when it became clear that I would have to trade in my 2010 Forester (which I got new and has served me faithfully for 14 years, cross country many times). I was terrified because I loved my old car and didn't want to get rid of it and I was dreading walking into a shark tank and getting bullied into something I didn't want. Dan Perkins was the exact opposite of that. Not only was Kevin amazing but everyone who worked there was super friendly. They truly live the Subaru lifestyle. I could feel the love from the second I walked into the showroom and I couldn't be happier with my experience.
Uziel at Dan Perkins provided the utmost pleasant car buying experience when shopping for my 81yo mother. He was patient with her and took the extra time and provided a very professional experience for us both. Uziel went above and beyond to help us make this a very successful experience. I highly recommend him and Dan Perkins because of his superior service, thank you!
