Great auto leasing experience. In and out in about two hours. Arrived at 8pm with an appointment, out by about 10:15. My suggestion is to make an appointment around the same time, the process moves much quicker for obvious reasons.
Bought a "certified" used car from Volvo Cars of Lisle little over a week ago. About 10 minutes after leaving the lot the exhaust starts blowing smoke at idle and eventually throws codes for MAF sensor and misfires. Understanding it's a used car I figure I can fix a few things that might be wrong. During last week I replace spark plugs, PCV, valve cover gasket, then test compression...cylinder #1 is low. Take it to a local dealer near me for assessment and it likely has a cracked piston/rings and lots of oil blow by. Engine on it's way out at 108k miles. Had several discussions with service manager and others at Volvo of Lisle on what could be done since I'm looking at a cost of $6,500 for new engine and install. UPDATE 12/17/21: Received a follow up with sales manager Scott Cramer...offered to cover some of the cost in replacing the engine since we are from out of state and could not feasibly return to them for service. I understand used cars can have issues, but happy the dealership has made an effort to assist when others probably wouldn't.
I can't begin to tell you how GOOD the service was they treated me like a OUEEN LOVED IT THANK YOU SO MUCH
