March 3rd. 2024 Well I got my new vehicle today and am still getting use to the new technologies that come with each successive new car. I am GRATEFUL for the help of the Wonderful young lady, Sommer, who helped to guide me in the implementation of the various technical abilities of this new vehicle, although I think I need to go back and ask her how to get "Alexa" to respond to voice activation as it says it can. And a Special "Thank You" to my AWESOME Salesman Mr. Lawrence Houston. I STRONGLY recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle at Southgate Ford, to ask for Lawrence to help them achieve that goal. He is an Honest, Straight Forward, Get-the-job-done-RIGHT individual who goes above and beyond to help his customers. Rick Zorn March 9th. 2023 I had a terrible experience in the service department today. I had been waiting for almost a year for the parts to come in for my recall repair. Once they arrived I scheduled my repair appointment time, which had many weeks of waiting time also. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:30 A.M. and was told I should be receiving a call to pick it up around 1:00P.M. That call never came. I got a ride back to the dealership just after 4:00 P.M. and was told my vehicle wasn't done yet. I inquired why and was told that it was a 2 day repair. I knew that this was a blatant lie because I was told how long the repair would take during my scheduling of the appointment and also earlier this day (morning). I asked for a loaner since my vehicle is under warranty and was told they didn't have any. I then explained that they needed to get the dealership owner in there because I would be driving his vehicle home and they could figure out how he was going to get a ride. During this very heated discussion, they suddenly decided to start work on my vehicle and finished it in just over 30 minutes proving that they had blatantly lied to me. Good luck trusting the service department. Rick Zorn December 2022 I had my maintenance done today. First time for this new vehicle. Everything was completed but I wish you could schedule maintenance here. You can't, so it's a pain when you have a busy schedule. And, although there are pending recalls for my vehicle, I couldn't get them addressed because (I was told) Ford is not ready to address them yet. Rick Zorn April 2022 Well I had a problem with my new vehicle so I tried calling the dealership twice but was not able to get anyone who could answer my questions on the phone. So I had drive down there to seek my answers. I found a person in the service department who answered my query's and we conquered that I would have to make a service appointment. Being the ONLY person in line, I was forced to wait for approximately 20-25 minutes to make my appointment due to understaffing from COVID 19 absence's. My heart goes out to the lady who had to handle the phone and customer's who come in from the street. They have more than ample parking available and masks are optional at this time. Rick Zorn
