I had a very good experience working with Ethan, a sales professional at LaFontaine Volkswagen in Dearborn. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and he helped me get a generous trade allowance on my old vehicle. The car I ended up in was very reasonably priced and in excellent condition. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review was that signing paperwork was a little bit of a fiasco. Their regular finance manager was not in the office so they sent us across the street to one of the other LaFontaine-operated dealerships. We actually went to the correct office at first, but someone in that office sent us to another building. In total, we spent about 25 minutes figuring out which office to go to. Once we figured it out, handling the paperwork was a breeze. I imagine this is not a regular problem, and I don't blame Ethan for the situation, but the paperwork process could have been smoother. All that said, overall it was a very good experience, and I feel good about my purchase.
Brought the Atlas in for a recall. The experience was smooth from the time I scheduled the appointment until I picked up the car. The dealer completed the recall, performed an overall inspection and provided a rental. Also found a defective sensor and replaced. all done at no cost!!
