Thank you to the one reviewer who posted a good review! I also was a bit turned off by the bad reviews, but I decided to take the risk, and we just bought a car yesterday! If you're looking to be pampered in some slick showroom, this is not the place for you. If you are willing to have a more rigid experience for a good deal, these guys are great. It was very simple: We found the car we wanted, made an appointment (I had to push of an hour and they were accommodating). Met in an office building parking lot, took a test drive, and went to their little office for paperwork. They are legit dealers, with a very lean business model. And they were able to pass the savings on to us. Thank you
Lots of bad reviews, our experience was quite different however. I found a car through “true car” and noticed it was available through OceanSky Auto in Brea, CA. But when I googled the place I found a Fullerton address and a 1-Star rating lol. So I quickly dismissed it, until I read the reviews and found that most people had a hard time figuring out where to go, thinking OceanSky Auto was your standard brick and mortar dealership with a lot that you can walk. It isn’t! When you call the number you are greeted by a heavy accent, so you’ll want to get straight to the point about which car you want to see and when. No negotiating or asking questions about the car because it’s difficult for them to communicate the answer! I was given an address in Diamond Bar to see the car. When I arrived it was a business parking lot. I waited a few minutes ready for the scam but ended up seeing my desired car roll into the parking lot. I was then greeted by a very nice husband and wife. They showed me the car and told me all about it. I took it for a test drive and was very pleased with the results. I then requested time to grab cash for the purchase. I was told to meet them at their office is Brea, CA. I returned with the cash and found they had a single room inside a business complex. No exterior advertising. We did the title paperwork and my wife drove off with the car. Please understand these guys are not your traditional dealership. Your car is available by appointment only at a random meet location, much like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. The transaction can take place there or back at the office in Brea. Very nice people and the car is great, I’m glad we took a chance! Just be patient with them, they are very good people who struggle with the language.
