2012 Honda Civic LX Auto

My story is a bit long and convoluted, but I have to share it nevertheless. Back in December of 2023, I was involved in an accident which, to me, looked like a fender-bender (see attached before and after pictures.) After complicated insurance procedures, my car ended up in a prominent body shop that shall remain nameless because this review is about Contract Automotive. That “prominent” shop took apart my car, declared it unrepairable and advised me to accept “total loss” and settle the terms with the insurance company. I found that hard to believe because I was driving it for three weeks after the accident until the appointment with the shop, so I decided to take the vehicle to Contract Automotive for a second opinion. Easier said than done. Those guys, the “prominent shop”, refused to put it back together so I had to hire a tow truck. Not only that, but they charged me $2,610 as a storage fee. The parts they had removed were thrown on a pile in the trunk and, as it turned out later, some were missing. The mechanics at Contract looked at the damage and determined that not only is it fixable, but it won’t exceed the threshold for “total loss.” Nevertheless, the insurance company, may be somewhat influenced by the first estimate, totaled the vehicle. After the long and painful process of “buying back” my car, the guys at Contract Automotive fixed it in a week despite the insurance complications and missing part, to a point where I can’t tell it’s been in an accident. They also helped me with the inspection process and the paperwork involved. The moral of the story is - if I had taken my car to Contract Automotive on a first place, it would have saved me all those headaches. A lesson well learned.

Got this 2010 honda civic for my son to use through college. Car runs great. Wonderful price and great customer service. We got a truck here too many years ago and 120k miles later. It's still running like a champ!
