I recommend these guys to anyone that needs to get their car repaired. They are knowledgeable and helpful and are willing to work with you. I came in with a check engine light and a need to keep my car on the road. They understood that need and worked within my budget to keep me going. Thank you, McCabe's Automotive!

Update: I ended up taking it in to get a better understanding of the problem and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend them enough, and their rates are quite reasonable. I watched several customers come in and it was clear they were repeat customers and between that and their attitude it is clear that McCabe really understands Customer Service. You cannot go wrong with McCabe Automotive. ******* I am struggling with a vibration in my steering wheel after rebuilding the entire drivetrain of my Cadillac Wagon. I spoke with the folks at McCabe and rather than just take my money to do what I wanted, they helped me diagnose the problem more thoroughly and pointed me to the Propellor shafts. That almost certainly saved me a significant amount of money while McCabe got nothing out of it other than this review. That tells me these folks are safe to do business with and I would strongly recommend them. It was a stark contrast to my experience with a transmission shop up in Bremerton. McCabe seems like a very reliable and honest outfit.

I was experiencing a problem with my car and had asked my neighborhood 411 group who they would recommend. Several people recommended McCabe's so I called to see what I was looking at for a repair. I spoke to Miles who was extremely helpful and patient. I explained that I thought I needed a new alternator and given the year make them all of my car, it's buried and takes a lot of labor hours to correct. The quote was for roughly $1,800 I think but he said but why don't you come by first and let me just look at it. So I brought the car by and Miles took one look under the hood and suggested that I first go to Les Schwab where I bought my battery and have them examine that as it was still under warranty. At the end of the day, Les Schwab cleaned up my battery and tested my alternator and for the grand total of $0 got me back on the road. All because Miles, at McCabe's, had the integrity and the decency to take time out of his morning to look at my car and refer me to the right place to fix it. A lot of less reputable places may have realized it was a simple fix and still charged me to replace a part I didn't need. I will take my car to McCabe's for everything from wiper replacements to an engine replacement. You just can't buy honor and integrity!!! ??????????
