On a whim, I decided to look into replacing my 12-year-old Prius due to the outstanding EV leasing promotions (w/ promos, the monthly payments are around half that of an equivalent gas vehicle!). But my Prius was still running strong, so I was adamant about getting a great deal. I shopped multiple local dealers in Eastern WA and had the classic dealership experience—friendly faces but negotiations by attrition. Then, I submitted an online inquiry to Weston Kia and received a friendly call the next day asking for more information. Since the dealership was a 3.5-hour drive away, I said, "I will be fully honest if you can make this as painless as possible and convince me to drive out there—my trade-in has been valued between $4500-$5000, and one dealership offered me $5200 after negotiating. I'm looking for your best 24-month lease on an EV6." The person took my info and sent me occasional texts with vehicle options and status updates. The initial lease option was higher than I wanted, so I sent a photo of my best lease offer from a local Kia dealer in my area, $234/month, and asked if they could beat it. Around an hour later, I received a text saying $200/month including taxes. At this point, I was ecstatic but nervous—they had blown away the best offer I had negotiated with local dealerships with a single text, all from the comfort of my home. I drove out the next day, and they had fully charged the EV for me so I could easily make the drive home, and had already prepared some preliminary paperwork. It was also the exact car, trim, and feature-equipped model I had initially requested: there was none of the classic 'up/down-selling' that a lot of dealers try when negotiating a price. While it still took a few hours to get all the paperwork sorted, it was easy and casual. Saun, the sales associate I worked with, was your average Portlander—in the best and most soulful of ways. He was unbelievably knowledgeable about the car (hands down the most knowledgeable salesman I've spoken to in years) and provided a detailed guided tour of the vehicle during the test drive and after purchase. This was truly the easiest car buying experience I've ever had, and they beat the best offer I got from a local dealership by $30/month on my lease. While it was a long drive, I'd happily make the drive back for my next car purchase. Highly recommend Weston Kia. Sincerely, thank you for making this so easy and painless.
