Jenkins Mazda is a car dealer. One must remember that when dealing with any car dealer. With that said, they are not too bad. Most of the people we have interacted with seemed nice. But remember, they will try to get you to pay anything extra that they can. As such, they will have add on's and such to try to bump the price up. I even had a sales manager lie to my face and tell me that the MSRP stood for "Minimum suggested retail price". Unfortunately I had to correct his deceit to pronounce the correct meaning to "Manufacturers Suggested Retail price". So although I'm sure that they still got me to pay too much, one must keep your eye on sales folks. Again, they are car dealers. So be very cautious when dealing with them. With that said, most of the things at Jenkins was not a bad experience. They actually have some vehicles in their showroom, unlike the dealer directly across the street from them. The parts department was better to deal with than I had expected. And the service waiting area isn't bad at all. They have a coffee machine that dispenses what the cups say is Starbucks coffee. I have never been a fan of Starbucks coffee, but this was actually quite decent. And they also had some snacks. So it Was one of the better waiting areas, I've been in. Service wasn't bad either. And arguably, the prices are not anywhere near as bad as I expected. Of course, I could be wrong also. Although, my experience with them is limited. My visit wasn't without incident. There was an issue that occurred. I kept calm and in the end, they rectified it. I will give them credit for informing me that unfortunately, something did occur. They did not try to hide anything from me and were up front about it. Now I cannot say that I was or am happy about the issue. They did show honesty and did the right thing to rectify the situation. Was the situation 100% like it never happened. I cannot say, and have not inspected the situation quite that close. But from what I did see and experience throughout the situation, seems rectified. Of course in the back of my mind, I do wonder if something could rear its ugly head down the road. Who knows. What I do know is that bad things happen. I also experienced that they were honest about it, and took care of it as best they could. If anything, maybe they apologized more than necessary :) So all in all, Jenkins Mazda were not bad to deal with. I have experienced the good (and bad) of this car dealer selling cars. I experienced a decent little parts department for accessories and an employee who was great to deal with. Even the service department did quite good, even though there was an issue. Rarely do I feel car dealers as an option other than the actual purchase. But I can say that Jenkins are not too bad. Maybe if they were not so typically stereotypical with the shady sales tactics on the initial purchase. Maybe they could have gotten five stars. Well there was the incident, so maybe not quite 5.
What can I say but WOW! I've bought quite a few new vehicles over the years, and I can truly say that my experience at Jenkins Mazda was the absolute best experience by far!!! From the moment I walked in the building until I was driving home in my brand-new Mazda CX-50. The plan for that day was to look at three major brands and then decide which of the three I wanted with Jenkins Mazda being the first stop. Shayne at Jenkins was knowledgeable and not pushy at all, something I personally really appreciate in a sales guy! At no point did I feel like I was being pressured or pushed. He took the time to actually listen to my wants in a vehicle and worked diligently to find the right one on the lot and then worked to get the numbers to make sense for me. The experience was so great that I decided that I didn't want to go anywhere else at all! Not only did I purchase a new vehicle, but the experience was so great that my husband also bought a brand-new vehicle. What a whirlwind of greatness found at Jenkins!! I walked in with the intention to buy nothing and went home with two new vehicles! Are you in the market for a new vehicle? Go see Shayne Norton at Jenkins Mazda! You deserve a no hassle experience, and you'll find it at Jenkins Mazda in Ocala!!
