We had been looking for an affordable, safe, reliable car for our son in College for MONTHS that met our make, model, year, and price parameters. We found exactly what we needed and more from the folks at Hampden Trading. Rusty, Dave, and the rest of the staff are honest folks with a lot of integrity. They don't cut corners, stand by what they sell, and work to make everything right - down to the last detail. We felt very good driving off the lot. After purchase, we brought it to our own mechanic for inspection and another once-over (we live 90 minutes away), and he was very impressed with the car. The company and the people live up to their reputation. We recommended them to a friend looking for a vehicle for their college kid, and they ended up getting a great deal as well. We will definitely go back when the time comes again.

We bought a 2015 Subaru Forester from here a few months ago now. I forgot to review but really wanted to shout them out for great service. Very nice to deal with and they have some nice cars. They sell what they know and have been doing it along time. So buying experience was 10/10. The car was nice and test drove great except what sounded like a loose heat shield. They said they would fix that. The air conditioning didn’t work at the highest setting but fine on other settings. They said they would fix that. We picked up the car and drove home. A day later the rattle came back. No big deal, heat shields on these things are problematic. Easy fix. The next few days I realize the air still cuts off at highest setting. Planned on calling them about that but out of nowhere the car stalls. Then every warning on dash lights up. I call them. They were very nice and said they had an idea of what it was and would step up on making it right. Turns out this is a known subaru defect and costs like 2500 bucks. They told us that we would split the cost of the parts and no charge for labor. Seemed fair. In the end we appreciated them fixing that huge issue but were kind of left slightly unsatisfied that things we were promised would be fixed before pick up weren’t fixed. Overall I am happy with the car, the process, and the companies response to that very serious issue. I do recommend them but definitely suggest checking anything to be fixed before pick up right there in the lot.

Great experience here getting my used 2014 Outback. Dealers are friendly and let you take your time browsing. Great price and car was very clean. Had some very minor tech troubles after leaving the lot and Hampton took it right back and fixed everything perfectly very quickly. They are a pleasure to work with. I’ve had the car for 2 months and have zero issues, just finished taking it on a 1,400 mile road trip and was a delight to drive! Thank you.
