Although, the intent was to look around that Saturday and see what was in my budget, Solomon Smith, the Honda Carland salesman was able to nudge me in to see what was available for the payments I wanted, no down payment, and for number of payments. There was a car they had that hit every check mark but when it came to the financing part of the process, the process stalled. First, not sure why I would not be allowed to receive their financing due to my credit report. Something about my credit report did not show me purchasing a Honda in the past. Correct - my Camry had been paid off 10 years or more. Secondly, financing with Honda were off the grid when it came to the monthly payments, asking for a down payment and/or the APR was really high. I appreciate that Solomon removed the car from the floor, which he was assured that I would have an answer by that following Wednesday. God is Good ~ I went through my credit union and was able to provide an answer that Monday to let him know I would be there to pick the car up that Friday! The car was ready and detailed. Sign a few papers and I was off in my new car! Thanks, Solomon, for being a person first that actually came through! Having patience and navigating me through this car buying process. Visiting from out-of-town and noticed that my HR-V was starting sluggishly. Went to an AutoZone that tested the battery and confirmed that was the issue but were unable to install. Called this dealership, navigated their answering system (not too bad), and was able to schedule a service appointment. Jordan was my service advisor and was very pleasant throughout the experience. They also confirmed the battery issue and performed a multi-point inspection. Very nice waiting area and good communication on status of car. Arrival to departure right around an hour. And car runs great! Only negative is they want a 3% fee for a card payment. I happened to have cash this time but that seems out of touch with 2024. Or even 2014. ????. Otherwise, excellent experience and appreciation to Jordan for taking good care of me.
