Bought my Volvo here earlier this year and have had a really disappointing experience since. The car needed a paint correction, and I drove an hour and a half for the appointment after calling to confirm the paint specialist would be there. When I arrived, I was told he actually wasn’t coming in. The manager promised to reimburse my gas for the wasted trip, but that never happened. I came back a few months later for my yearly service and the repaint. They gave me a loaner, which I appreciated, but when I picked up my car it was left extremely dirty. A muddy paper floor mat was left in the car, dust was all over both passenger doors, and my front windshield had a thick layer of dust on the inside. I had just cleaned the car before dropping it off, so this was all from the service visit. The staff is friendly, but the attention to detail and follow-through have been really disappointing—especially compared to how great this dealership used to be under previous ownership. Very let down by the overall experience. After posting this the service management team reached out to be very quickly and said they would cover the cost for a detail. The manager explained this was sent elsewhere to get the painted which is why it was so messy and my pickup was miss comunicated. which is why it was still dirty. I appreciate their attention to the matter and helping make it right.
The sales experience was top quality. Jay answered ALL my questions about my new vehicle. He was knowledgeable and patient! I highly recommend Volvo of Athens and Jay Youngblood to be your sales associate. I’m sure they are all great, but I specifically worked with him. Secondly, I’d like to shout out Alexis Grisham. She is the finance manager and was patient as well. She answered all of my questions thoroughly explaining each part of the warranty, the contract, etc. She made the process quick and easy, but she was also kind.
My wife and I recently purchased an XC90 and we had a wonderful experience. Probably the most transparent experience we have ever had purchasing a vehicle. We would recommend Moses and James! They did a great job! Jim and Laurie Hodges
