I cannot speak highly enough of Ken Gordon, Operations Manager, and his crew in the service department at McCrea Subaru. While on a family road trip to the Redwoods from Las Vegas, Nevada, almost every light on our dashboard lit up. A local mechanic couldn't diagnose the issue properly and recommended McCrea Motors. We had already extended our trip due to a failed wheel bearing further up the coast, so this latest issue was unwelcome. Knowing how busy dealership service departments can get, I anticipated needing to find accommodations in Eureka for an unplanned night or two. Mr. Gordon greeted my family warmly, and it was clear he genuinely didn't want us stranded. His team diagnosed the problem (issues with cam positioning solenoids) within minutes and even pulled up a map to suggest nearby lunch spots, ice cream parlors, and a waterfront walk while we waited. A couple of hours later, Mr. Gordon called with the solution, we settled the bill, and we were back on our journey home. Aware that we'd been driving all night, Mr. Gordon phoned the next morning to ensure we had arrived home safely. His service department excelled in honesty, professionalism, and efficiency.
