Dealer's notes

The X7 is BMW's biggest SUV. A class up from the midsize X5, the X7 is a large luxury SUV that comes standard with three rows of seating (a third row is optional on the X5). Since it's larger than the X5, the X7 has more room in the third row and accommodates big families a bit better. The standard X7 xDrive40i is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. If you want to up the performance, you can go with the xDrive50i, which uses a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that puts out 456 hp and 479 lb-ft. And if that's not enough, the X7 M50i offers a more powerful version of the same 4.4-liter V8, pumping out 523 hp and 553 lb-ft. There are no significant changes to the majority of X7 trims. It maintains a long list of luxurious standard features, along with high-end options including BMW's automated parking system and a dual-screen rear entertainment system. There will be, however, an ultra-plush even-higher-performance version of the X7 made available with all sorts of upgrades: the 2021 Alpina XB7. The XB7 is considered its own model, so it's reviewed separately, but it'll basically be an X7 with even more power and more available equipment. There's also the new Dark Shadow variant, a limited-edition model featuring a matte gray paint scheme, black exterior trim, and blue seats and headliner. Only 600 will be available worldwide and just 75 are destined for the U.S. The 2021 BMW X7 is the brand's biggest people mover and brings an undeniably upscale aura and impressive levels of performance. Behind the three-row SUV's borderline-bloated kidney grille are three excellent turbocharged engine options. While the standard straight-six is perfectly adequate with its 335 horsepower, there's a lusty V-8 that makes either 523 or 612 horsepower. To get the highest-output engine requires ordering the Alpina XB7, which costs almost twice as much as the base model but delivers the excess expected by those who can afford it. Still, the beauty of the big BMW is that every one has a cushy and hushed cabin, as well as a plethora of luxury amenities and driver-assistance tech. Although its interior is smaller than its exterior suggests, and its power rear seats have sluggish operation, the 2021 X7 earns the highest marks among high-end SUVS.

I purchased a vehicle from Fleet Motors about a year and a half ago, and their customer service is top-notch. When I first got the car, it unfortunately needed a transmission replacement less than a month later. (I don't believe this was any fault of theirs, it was a freak thing). Without hesitation, they replaced my transmission at a very fair rate, and communicated everything they were doing with me. They also got the replacement done in record time! James is very friendly and easy to get ahold of. Now, a year and a half later, I was in an accident involving a deer. The insurance company needed to contact James to verify the transmission replacement when valuing my car. I texted James about the situation, and he provided me with an update once he had spoken with the insurance. All in all, I've had a great experience with Fleet Motors, and have been treated like a valued customer. I would highly recommend working with James and his team.

Personable down to earth sales without any pressure. They helped me get into a reliable truck and offered great advice to keep it running longer. Plus their service, if you want anything done to the vehicle will be a third of the price every other shop offers. If they have what you want don’t waste your money anywhere else. Ask for Chris!

Bought a 2008 bmw 3 series from Chris. Being from duluth and knowing bmw can be known for certain issues I was slightly skeptical. I talked to Chris and asked him to verify the car drove as advertised and that it didn't need anything. He noticed a small rattle in the exhaust and said he would make sure it's right for pick up. I asked if he wanted a deposit and he said he'd hold it for me. Went down to pick up the car and he had it all cleaned up and ready to go. Everything was as he described and the buying process was very easy. Really appreciated the 15 day 500 mile warranty on the car too. I'm happy with my purchase and would buy from Chris again.
