I got my BMW Z4 e85 from Avazi Auto Group and it’s been amazing! Bought it online right before Christmas and it showed up at my doorstep the next day. I purchased a 1990 Jeep Cherokee in November 2022. Overall, the process was very positive. I took the Jeep out alone for a test drive and to have a pre-purchase inspection performed. I was never hassled by Avazi asking me when I was going to return (I was gone a while) and Ken even offered to follow me to the car rental agency to return my rental car and then drive me back to the shop which was really excellent customer service. Pros: -The car doesn’t appear to have any serious mechanical issues after five months. It has never left me stranded. -Interior is in great shape (see cons below). -Undercarriage is nearly rust free. -Miles are very low for a 1990. -I received the title quickly. -The entire process from checking out the car to purchasing was very easy. Cons: -Rear view mirror was not attached. I had to stop and get the correct adhesive for the drive back to NYC from Maryland. That’s a $5 job that I think should have been taken care of before the car was shown to potential buyers. -Shifter knob was was not threaded. It had to be taped on. Again, a cheap fix ($25 for aftermarket) that I had to take care of. -The tires had plenty of tread left but were dry-rotted. According to the sidewall, the tires were manufactured in 2009, 14 years ago. Add $1,000 for new tires, mounting, balancing, alignment. -Headliner was slightly sagging which rapidly got much worse. Add $800 for a shop to redo the headliner. -Passenger side had a massive leak when it rained and soaked the carpet. Known issue with Cherokees and I sorted it with some RTV. -Catalytic converter’s honeycomb was broken up which could potentially form a ball and clog the exhaust. Add $400. -Driver side door hinges are separating from the body. The weld is not holding, most likely due to the door check which I need to replace. Having the hinges welded will cost a bit. -The paint. It looks good at first glance but after owning the car for some time it is clear that whatever company they had paint this car did a fast and cheap job. There is orange peel, drips in the paint, overspray, chipping paint, and the biggest issue is that there is rust that was not remediated properly before the paint was applied. I’m most likely going to have to spend a good chunk of change having the driver’s side door’s rust removed and repainted. Overall I am very very happy with the car. No, it isn’t perfect but it’s in better shape than any other Cherokee I’ve seen on the road. At the end of the day, you’re buying a used car and it is very difficult to uncover every flaw, so you need to budget for additional repairs which will come up. I really am not happy about the rust, though, and I wish they had either left the car’s original paint so I could have it repainted by a reputable shop, or taken the car to a shop that would have done a better job.
