TLDR; I was expecting to have to hold my ground and fight for a good deal after hearing stories of friends being treated poorly at car dealerships; ended up having the exact opposite experience at Kia of Everett and got the exact car I wanted with friendly and honest staff at a price I believe is fair and reasonable. After hearing friends' stories of having terrible experiences at car dealerships, I was ready to have to stand my ground and fight for a reasonable deal when it was time to upgrade our 15 year old car. I actually had a good experience at another Kia dealership, but had to wait several months for an order to come and it wasn't available in the exact interior and exterior colors I wanted. Fortunately, I kept an eye open and still asked around at other dealerships. I connected with Kat in Everett and she had the car I wanted, in a different color, available so I could drive it. I shared the challenges of not being able to order the colors I wanted and the long wait time. She had the manager, Kenny, come help us out and he made calls while I was there. In summary, they worked to find the car in the exact colors I wanted and it would be available in a month or so. Got the call the car was in and my husband and I went in to check it out and drove it. Jake was so friendly and personable and helped us out with the sale, and honestly I can't believe how smooth a experience we had. We had done our own background research and the pricing felt fair after our conversations and questions to make sure we had all the data to weigh the different leasing options. The financing person, Eugene, even checked for other discounts (we had a Costco membership which lowered a service plan addition that then made financial sense to add). We got more than we were expecting for trading in a 15 year Honda (in good condition, fully owned, no accidents) and that helped some more money. I appreciated staff moving through as quickly as possible to respect our time, but not feeling like we were being rushed or that I couldn't ask questions that came up. I felt like everyone was honest, transparent, respectful, and friendly. And just as importantly, not aggressively pushy or pressuring. We were coached a little on survey responses (seems like some questions are tricky) and asked to leave a review, but that's part of the corporate car dealership system and I was honestly going to leave a review and complete the survey anyway. I am leaving this review to share my experience and appreciation for doing business with people who are there for business, but seem to do it with integrity and professionalism. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a Kia or curious about a car to visit this dealership.
Xavier, Izzy and Eugene at Kia of Everett were very patient and helpful with me being a first time buyer. I also had my 8 year old son with me and they made him feel extremely special and were so kind to him. I love my new car and would highly recommend people to go there.
