1973 De Tomaso Pantera

Purchased in 2004 from the Southern California Pantera Association club president. Records dating back to 1986. Full restoration completed in 2018, following a prior light restoration performed in the early 1990s according to the previous owner. Restoration completed by R&M in Wixom, Michigan, recommended by Roush. Custom engineered and built engine by Roush in Michigan, including build photos and dyno sheets. The Director of Engineering for Roush served as the primary architect for the engine design during the 2018 restoration. Interior Lowered seat pans to provide additional head clearance. Replaced headliner using the original factory design. Both interior door cards replaced with correct-pattern leather-look material. Replaced interior carpeting. Added hidden digital oil temperature and pressure gauges to supplement the factory instrumentation and improve engine monitoring. Replaced seats with Pantera Racing seats (original seats included in the sale). Recovered both sun visors. Reworked electric window regulators. Installed seat belt harnesses with a proper low-profile anchor bar to maintain the factory appearance. Replaced door seals. Engine bay signed by Jack Roush. Engine bay storage compartment refinished. Exterior Previous restoration removed and polished all stainless trim and re-leaded all joints. Full paint correction and ceramic coating completed. Pantera-style forged aluminum wheels finished in the original Campagnolo slotted design (original magnesium Campagnolo wheels included in the sale). Engine bay detailed with rerouted hoses for a cleaner and more refined appearance. Mechanical & Suspension All suspension soft parts replaced, including bushings and related components. Coil-over shocks installed at all four corners. Vehicle professionally corner balanced for improved handling dynamics. Upgraded two-piece brake system installed. Wilwood brake calipers machined to remove branding and cadmium plated to retain a period-correct appearance. Driveline U-joints upgraded. Air conditioning upgraded with a modern compressor and updated refrigerant system. Performance Commissioned bespoke Roush-designed and engineered small-block Ford engine built specifically for the Pantera platform with a 7,200 RPM redline (original engine included in the sale). Engine build documentation and dyno sheets from Roush included. Cooling system engineered specifically for the heat rejection requirements of the 567-horsepower engine package. Custom fabricated headers ceramic coated and heat insulated during the restoration process. Custom tuned mufflers fabricated to achieve desired space constraints and exhaust sound objectives. Upgraded forced-draft oil cooler installed and integrated with the air conditioning condenser to retain the factory-correct appearance and placement. All new engine compartment reservoirs and coolant tubing installed. Expansion tanks powder coated in factory-correct colors to maintain an original appearance.
