We were looking for an SUV that was economical and spacious and settled on an 09 Ford Escape Hybrid that Barry had for sale. We were direct in what we wanted and Barry did his best to work a deal out. I waited three months before making this review and nothing has changed in my opinion of this dealership and Barry. Very upfront and honest. A prior reviewer mentioned not knowing where the cars at the dealership are from but Barry provided this detail about the car we specifically brought without us even asking. Our Escape has had no issues and it's only had to be serviced for routine maintenance since purchase. Would gladly do business with again.
Barry at Variety Motors was the absolute BEST salesperson I have ever personally had the privilege of buying a car from. Very honest, upfront, and personable. I was looking for a 2006 Honda CR-V, and Variety had just exactly the EX model I was looking for. The best part is, Barry has great integrity, as I saw their ad's listed price online for $250.00 less than what they were supposed to be asking, yet they honored the (mistaken) listed price, and I came away with an even better deal than expected. Variety Motors specializes in mid-ought CRVs. Barry is kind and honest. My transaction was straight-forward. After the purchase, I drove across the country with my ‘new’ vehicle. The car continues to run fabulously. Not only would I purchase from Variety Motors again-they’d be my first stop I search of another vehicle. One thing I like about Barry is that he specializes in these particular vehicles and knows their strong and weak points. Do your research and feel free to talk freely with him about your concerns. I did, and I drove away feeling confident that my almost 190,000 mile vehicle could handle the 2500 mile test I was about to lay upon it. Indeed the car passed with flying colors and impressed the dealership in Tennessee when I put it in for a pre-warranty expiration inspection. The mechanic asked “where did you get this car?” because if its seeming ageless-ness. As long as Barry keeps picking these well-cared for winners, buyers should consider him a curator as opposed to a salesman.
