Great Place to know if you own a BMW… or other cars too… they were very knowledgeable on my BMW n54 and held true to their verbal commitment with diagnoses process, time frame to complete and cost… HIGHLY recommend this team…

I live within 1 mile of another independent BMW mechanic, and a BMW dealer. I live about 10 minutes from a second independent BMW shop. I've heard some not so good things about the one close to home so I decided against using that shop. I did some research and came across Cooper Autoworks and liked what I saw. I like the fact that they were so highly rated by other customers so I decided to give them a try, even though they are 45 miles from my house.
I converted my 98 BMW from an automatic to a stick shift. After getting it all done, I had a clutch issue that I could not resolve on my own, so I took it to Cooper Autoworks. Calvin and Kelsey are the nicest, most genuine people that truly care about customer service. I've only ever taken a car to a mechanic one other time in my life. I've always maintained and repaired my cars on my own. So, I was pretty apprehensive about someone else doing the work. Kelsey and Calvin were both great about answering questions before doing the work.
Calvin did a great job diagnosing the problem and fixing it. He took his time and explained exactly what the issue was and also explained my options. I'm on a tight budget, and he worked with me to figure out the best option for my money. He did a great job fixing the issue.
If you don't know, Kelsey is active in outreach, getting kids involved in auto mechanics. When I picked my car up, Kelsey spent at least 30 minutes with my 10 year old gear head daughter, that helps me work on cars. She showed her around the shop, let her climb around on one of their race cars and showed her all of the other cars they had there. My daughter loves Kelsey!
Once I got the car home, I discovered a problem that was associated with the transmission. Nothing Calvin did at all. It was my mistake while installing the 5 speed. Even though it wasn't his problem, Calvin took the time to have a couple phone conversations and emails to help me work through the problem.
I highly recommend using Cooper Autoworks for service and repair of your BMW. The level of work and customer service is amazing. Their prices are much cheaper than the dealer and other BMW shops that I looked into.

Kelsey is an angel! We were on our way to a family reunion on Sunday of Labor Day from St. Louis to Bethalto loaded with kids, crock pots and coolers. She saw us on the side of the road with a flat tire and stopped to offer help. We were having issues with the bottle jack that came with my 4Runner, she drove to her shop and brought us floor jack and an impact wrench to help us. Amazing lady, and if I ever own a BMW, I would only take it to Cooper Auto.
