2023 Porsche Cayenne S

I recently traded in my 2025 VW Golf R for a 2026 Porsche Macan. I would like to thank Michael Chauca (Global Brand Ambassador) and Donald Kim (Finance Director) for making this happen. Michael was very knowledgeable, courteous and went over all the features before leaving the dealership and then followed up with a phone call later that afternoon. I was amazed that there was a screen welcoming me to Porsche Arlington and the Macan was covered in the showroom after the prep and detailing. Donald went over the financial documents and recommended extra products necessary to protect the finish and safety of the Macan. Both Michael and Donald have excellent people skills: They build trust fast. Buying a car is stressful. They kept a calm and friendly attitude to make the process easy. Mike Chauca was my sales advisor at Porsche Arlington for both of my Taycan purchases. In both cases I had to wait for allocations, and he did a great job explaining the process and keeping me up to date along the way. Their service & professionalism is top notch-they repair what they say they will, they will help you with getting to/from the Potomac Yard metro, and the coffee maker & free candy & chips are awesome. Main thing: you MUST expect to drop your car off & wait for parts to come in for potentially 1-2 wks before they can start the repair & they will often need 3-5 days for the repair, itself - for ex: for suspension or exhaust work - I had the entire rear suspension assembly replaced & entire exhaust redone from split headers back to one. Each took about that long. They are also cautious & test if a minimal repair that is needed will correct a more general problem before using more aggressive fixes-to some it might seem like fishing for money, but to others it might be sensible in order to ensure all common causes & low-hanging fruit are addressed before tackling larger, more costlier possibilities. They provide video diagnostics and inspections so you can see exactly what they’re talking about, so you can make informed decisions about what to replace & what you think can wait. They remove non-OEM (aftermarket) parts, like alarms & remote starters, etc. if they are tackling problems potentially caused by these things. Often this is better, anyway, so you can ensure they aren’t actually causing problems & the techs can rule it out-or find out it was the cause and that things can now work or be fixed that weren’t working before-like an issue I had where the hazards would come on if I was idling too long that was due to a faulty aftermarket alarm module on my car. These guys were also able to troubleshoot a headlight issue I had stemming from a connection with the headlight switch and then a marker light that was missing a bulb that had arched & blown a fuse, and a problem where my battery died so I couldn’t unlock the car since the manual door lock wasn’t working anymore. They also helped address issues with a transmission linkage that was causing my gear indicator to blink instead of lock solid, and where my key kept getting locked in the ignition. They diagnosed a horn issue where it was sporadically going off - bushings below the horn plate on the steering wheel had worn down and these & that plate needed replacement. They also replaced a turn signal lever that wouldn’t spring back when you made your turn. So they are highly capable & can diagnose and fix most any issue. The only thing is that repairs will be pricey-for example they wanted to charge $3,000 for a radiator (which they found got hit by a rock & was leaking coolant) that I got for $125 online & $2,000 more to install it! I took it to a shop that charged me about $900. But certain things only a dealer can diagnose & fix and if you have a Porsche you almost expect pricey fixes. Exhaust work $20K, suspension work was $4K. Replacing the alarm module, new battery, rekeying the vehicle, $5K. Headlight issues $3K. They are good people, and as long as you’re not impatient or on a budget you should leave happy and will get quality troubleshooting and repair work here.
