I picked up my Grenadier in Seattle at Elliot Bay Autobrokers in mid March. I planned and completed a shakedown cruise of about 1,500 miles throughout the Northwest before starting my 2,200 mile trip home from Seattle to Anchorage. I wanted to make sure everything was in order before heading north. I discovered a few minor items (getting a required software update date and rectifying a heating and air conditioning problem) on my initial trip which were remedied to my complete satisfaction by EBA on my return to Seattle. I also had the oil changed (I am old school about break in oil) at the same time before heading home. Working with EBA was a great experience throughout. The trip home was a blast and the truck performed flawlessly. I was very happy with it. Going up through central BC was hot and I got a chance to use the A/C. In northern BC along the Cassiar Highway, the heater, demister, and defroster all got a thorough workout and worked well in rain, snow, and freezing ice over the higher ground. I couldn’t be happier with the vehicle and was very pleased with its highway performance when I had to blow past heavy mining and timber trucks. Since coming home, I, have had a chance to use the locking differentials, center, rear, and front, in some terrain that I would have given me some pause in my 4Runner. That was an eye opener and I am very glad I paid up for them. The more familiar I become with the vehicle, the more I am impressed with the strength and durability of its construction and the utility and functionality of the systems. If you want to maximize your experience, you do need to spend some time getting thoroughly familiar with systems and how to use them. The systems may seem a bit overwhelming at first but RTFM (read the flipping manual) and take some notes and they will quickly become second nature for you as they did for me. Mike Jones at EBA was particularly helpful introducing me to my car. Take advantage of his experience. I placed my reservation in September 2021. It was worth the wait.

By far the best buying experience I have ever had. Mike was incredibly knowledgable about the Grenadier and made the whole experience awesome. Financing was quick, easy and trouble free. Past all that… what a vehicle. Literally every single bit of it is confidence inspiring. I can’t wait to go get out in the woods!
