Picked up a prius at 217k miles at an okay price. Drives good, A/C worked, no trouble codes, and the interior was good. Has been running reliably for 4k miles so far. After I was cranking the A/C and the weather got above 80F I got a P0A93 trouble code. Turns out all I needed to do was change an electric coolant pump and baby it temporarily. It seems that the dealer might have only had this vehicle over the winter, so I don't blame them for not catching this one. Easy enough fix, and I signed the paperwork stating any potential problems on my high mileage vehicle are for me to deal with. Tires also needed to be changed ASAP and I didn't notice. Make sure you pick a manufacturer that engineers cars well, and to check all the normal maintenance items. Still happy with my car's condition other than the expected maintenance item. For buying a car with no warranty. I had a few minor issues along the way but George and his team really were nice enough to help out. I honestly wouldn't mind doing more business in the future. Know what your buying. Take care of your investment along the way and it will last.
