I purchased a Chrysler Pacifica from Bagwell Motors in March. We did everything over the phone, and it was delivered to me that afternoon. The first time we drove it, the check engine light came on within just a few miles and it died. I contacted our salesman (Joan) and he sent someone to pick it back up that evening, after hours. This was the beginning of a 2-month long, very drawn out process. We got it back the following day, and it died 3 times waiting in the school pick up line that afternoon. I let Joan know, and someone was sent to pick it back up. Throughout the next two months, I stayed in constant contact with Joan and Shawn, the owner. My van was sent to a mechanic’s shop outside of Fayetteville. After replacing multiple things and still having the same issue, Shawn replaced the motor. Although we were extremely frustrated many times during the two-month period, Shawn and Joan did all that they could to make it right. I was given multiple loaners to fit my large family, my temp tags were extended an additional two months, I was given a check for the amount of my first payment, I now have a new motor that I’ve had zero issues with, and not a single dime came from my pocket. Joan and Shawn were both just as frustrated as I was that the mechanic was taking much longer than necessary, to the point that they said they’d never use him again. They were told multiple times by the mechanic to “just come get it if I’m not working fast enough for you” as the motor was completely torn apart in his shop. Their hands were tied as well, but they each made sure to give me any updates they had. Overall, I feel like it was a blessing in disguise and I greatly appreciate all that Joan and Shawn did. I highly doubt they made much, if anything at all, off of my sale, but they were still dedicated to making it right, even if that meant voiding the sale altogether. Thank you Joan and Shawn, we’ve driven many miles since May and it’s been great!
