This was my first time purchasing a car and Merlin made the process not only easy, but enjoyable. To start, he knocked 500 off the asking price right off the back; then after I committed to purchasing my car they noticed an oil leak. So instead of just shoving that off on me, he sent the car out to get that fixed on the house. Sure I had to go a few days without my car, but considering the cost of that repair, it was well worth the wait. About a week later I took the car into a shop to get some minor work done, and they had found an oil leak. I called Merlin up, and he had his guys check it out. They held onto it for a few days, and didn't notice an oil leak. The odds are the mechanic I went to saw that some residual oil was under the vehicle from the last repair and saw an opportunity to make 2 grand off me. The doc fees are cheap here too! Well cheaper than the average doc fees for the state. All in all my experience with Bettendorf auto sales demonstrated integrity, fair pricing for the vehicle, and responsibility. If there was still an oil leak or a whole new one, Bettendorf auto sales could've saw the same opportunity the last mechanic saw and made that 2 grand off me. Definitely shop here if you're looking for an honest car dealership.

I don't typically by my vehicles from smaller dealerships but I have to tell you that I was pleasantly surprised with Bettendorf Auto Sales and their salesperson Merlin. I happened to be driving by when this beautiful 2014 GMC Sierra SLT caught my eye. I tried to let it go but I kept thinking about it, so I decided to stop in to take a look at it. Merlin walked up with a no pressure approach, answered my questions, let me take it for a test drive and then let me leave without pressuring me into the sale. I am sure he could tell I was in love with the truck before I left but he played it cool. I emailed him a couple times before bringing my wife it to look at it. He was able to trim a little bit off the top and work with me while I sold my previous truck outright. By the time it was done and over with, I felt like I was buying my truck from a trusted friend. I could tell that he's been selling vehicles for a long time and that he wouldn't want me to purchase something I wasn't comfortable with. He went above and beyond helping me out and never made me feel pressured to purchase, which I appreciate. I've had the truck for a couple months now and have had no issues. I like it as much now as I did when I purchased. Thank you Merlin for being honest, being patient with me and making sure I was taken care of. I will make sure to recommend you to others and look you up when I am in the market again!

I had a great experience here. Merlin was knowledgable and transparent about the Toyota I purchased. He took time to explain the buying process and cost of the vehicle. When I returned from the credit union with a check, Merlin had gotten ahold of someone to clean/condition the seats, after I initially expressed that I was dissatisfied with the dirt build up on them. It's the little stuff like this that makes a big difference. Thanks for going out of your way to help a customer!!

Good deal on the car, it did basically have issues within a week but it cost only about 300 to fix and Merle did give me a little extra off the original price. There are a few things that need repairs on the impala I bought from them, but it is what it is with a used car
