I bought a used ford transit with 118000 miles. They made me a pretty good deal.. the check engine lite came on before I got home and the next day I got to spend $1100. On 2 new catalytic converters. Buy used and you buy as is.
Pretty sure that was something that they were well aware of but you roll the dice with every vehicle purchase ????
