I have owned a car, and driven a vehicle of one kind or annother for the better part of three decades. I've done a lot of work on my own when the need has arisen in the past but the day always comes when you have no other choice but to take it to a mechanic.
I've had to take my vehicle to a mechanic on several occasions throughout my life and have never had nor found a better place to go than "Murphy Sunoco". The work they did on my car in my humble opinion is without equal. I had to get the right hand CV axle replaced as the original was damaged beyond repair. To my great surprise they got the work done in a day and a half .... Absolutely outstanding workmanship and professionalism.
I had to take my car in recently to get some work done that i wasnt able to do on my own, as with most of us i am on a budget and after the brilliantly knowledgable technicians at Murphy Sunoco did there all around and in depth diagnostics on my vehicle Mr. Fred Factor (the office manager there at Murphy Sunoco) called to let me know what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost. needless to say it was out of my price range, i most likely could have gotten the money scrounged up but it wouldnt have left any other monnies for groceries, rent and other bills.
Mr. Factor and I talked on the phone three or four times after i let him know what my situation was and he was able to, (with the help of his master automotive technicians) come up with some very skilled workaraounds for the problems at hand witch in the end saved me half of the original quote (the price that i had to pay went from a little over a thousand dollars down to just a little over five hundred dollars.
So to Fred Factor and all of the excelent technicians that work at Murphy Sunoco, you have my thanks and my heart felst gratitude. you have made a customer for life and i will, without any reservation whatever recomend your shop to all my friends who may need mechanical work of any kind done on there vehicle. I know that i will never take my vehicle to any other place!

Outstanding place they took care of my vehicle the way supposed to be, professional, honest and reliable... Wonderful guys helped me with my Honda Odyssey many issues, the service was fast and well done, specially Service Advisor Fred Factor, he went above and beyond, waiting for me even after hours to pick up my car.

I have used Murphy’s for the past several years for my NC State Vehicle Inspections. I am able to easily set up appointments by using their Facebook messenger app. The shop is extremely busy and they are not always in a position to answer the office phone line. Once you have your appointment they do a good job of expediting the state inspection service.  They are the only gas station pumping the Sunoco 94 octane. Their non ethanol gas has definitely saved my Mini Cooper engine from expensive ethanol related issues.

I want to thank the manager Fred Factor and the auto technicians at Murphy Sunoco for doing an excellent job removing and replacing my front wheel hub and bearing assembly on both sides in a reasonable amount of time, and also replacing the CV Axle on the front left side. They went out of their way and showed me why the work needed to be done. Great service.

Brought in my 07 Subaru Forester that was smoking from the engine bay. They were quick to find the issue, straight to the point, very fair with the prices, and fast to repair. They found an oil and power steering leak to be the issue and they even offered to power wash the oil and fluid that leaked all over the engine. I gave them the go ahead and they were finished with repairs the next day. I now have a lot more peace of mind driving home to visit Boone and back now that I have a mechanic I can trust. Very satisfied and I highly recommend them.
