Karma emerged in February 2014 after Wanxiang Group acquired the assets of Fisker Automotive at auction and formed a new company headquartered in Irvine, California. The team inherited the Karma plug-in hybrid sedan design and spent two years refining its drivetrain and build quality. In 2016 Karma launched the Revero, an updated plug-in hybrid with a 50-mile electric range and a combined 300-mile cruising range, marking its first ground-up production model. Over the next decade Karma introduced the Revero GT with enhanced power output and revised styling, then expanded its lineup with the GS-6 series of range-extended plug-in hybrid sedans. Today Karma’s range centers on the Revero GT alongside concept models like the Invictus electric sedan. The company is narrowing its focus to all-electric powertrains and sustainable materials as it readies next-generation luxury EVs with higher-capacity battery packs and all-wheel-drive layouts.
